Princess Anne has posed for a splendid photo with the Coldstream Guards at Wellington Barracks as Britain gears up for a long Bank Holiday weekend of celebrations and parties for the first Coronation in 70 years.
Coldstream Guard Colonel Toby Till calls today's visit from the Princess Royal at the Wellington Barracks in the City of Westminster the "icing on the cake" and a "unique moment" in history as the regiments get to take a photo with Her Royal Highness Princess Anne for the imminent Coronation.
The Coldstream Guards will be taking part in the huge Coronation parade on Saturday.
Princess Anne, 16th in line, is very popular with the British public due to her incredible public service and, along with her brother Prince Edward, has been made "deputy monarch" by her brother the King to stand in for him whenever he is ill or out of the country.
