Steve Sansom, 45, and his girlfriend Gemma Watts, 49, slaughtered Sarah Mayhew after exchanging "depraved" texts about cannibalism.
On Thursday, Watts was sentenced to a minimum term of 30 years without the possibility of parole and Sansom - who also murdered a taxi driver in 1998 - was sentenced to a whole life tariff (the death penalty's replacement) which means he will never be released from prison in his lifetime.
