Conference League Final

Real Betis 1-4 Chelsea

Wrocław Stadium, Wrocław

London club Chelsea not only thrashed their Spanish opponents (from Seville) to win the Conference League tonight for the first time, but they made history by becoming the first club to win all five of Europe's international club trophies.

Chelsea were absolutely astounding in the second half.

This is just days after Chelsea's fellow London club Tottenham Hotspur won the Europa League.

English football continues to dominate in Europe.

Maybe they'll make Champions League next year.

"Dominate Europe" my red-white-and-blue ass. The Europa cup decides the best of the second-best. Bayern Munchen swept the silverware shelf a few years back. . . the Bundesliga shield, the Champion's cup, the DFB Pokal, and all three available supercups.

You can always console yourself the that U.S. is pathetic, and will remain so for at least another generation.

Bayern haven't won every European trophy. Only Chelsea have done that.

As for dominating Europe, English teams have won two of the three European tournaments this season. The one that Spurs won last week - the Europa League - they beat another English team (Manchester United) in the Final.

As for Chelsea, they were second best against Spain's Real Betis ("Royal Betis") in the first half. In the second half Chelsea made two substitutions and they paid off. Chelsea then destroyed Betis.
