What did you think? I think the media is a little cruel to Camilla. Who cares who Charles marries? If they're happy, whats the big deal? Personally, I dont care about the royal family at all. It's just that evey news channel covered it so I had no choice but to watch. Typical of the media. Nothing else is happening in the world.
There were alot of big, tacky, hats at the wedding. I guess thats what royalty likes to wear.

I could care less but that being said he should of Married her instead of Diana. He always loved Camilla. But she was not on the short list of 3 he could choose from back in the day.

I think the days for Kings and Queens is long over.

I always feel bad for the royals. Can you imagine living under that kind of microscope? Most of us would be in the scandal sheets far more than Chuck and his family.

I like funny hats. if we made our all of leaders wear funny hats, they'd piss us off a lot less. They wouldn't behave any better, but we'd be pointing and laughing. ...

I dunno, U of S...I've been more than a little impressed with many of the initiatives the royals have run. I don't think they should govern us, but they don't. They are adept at nebulous opinion forming and charity promoting though.

Fair enough, fair enough. I just personally dont think its a big deal. And to the other poster, yes ive been to Victoria. What may I ask are you impressed about? Im just curious. Im not really for the monarchy in Canada, but dont mistake me for a PC voter and im in no way associated with them. I think you know what I mean.

I lived in Victoria and I loved the British-ness about it. All the tea rooms with old Charles and Di plates. However, I've been to England as well and Victoria is pretty different then England, weather wise at least. I liked Britain. The monarchy should pay taxes and work, but we should keep the monarchy. Canada should remember and hold on to it's British roots. It's a part of our history that we should keep alive.

nobodys disputing the fact that we should remember our british roots. Its just that we can do what without their crap on our coins and dollar bills. We could also do that without a representive of the queen. Change is change. We can do both without forgeting our british roots. Too bad Monarchists cling to old traditions.

RE: Charles and Camilla t

According to the news last night not to many people in Victoria new about the wedding but most could care less. Even in the Empress it was no big deal the wedding.

Charles destroyed any respect I had for the Royal family long ago. Especially the "mental abuse" he and his family caused Diana. It showed their true colours.

They are no better than us, they have same dna, they just happen to be born into wealth and privledge. They are no better than any of us, and it has been shown over the years.

Andem 8O there has been breaking news in regards to another royal wedding.

Prince Harry Potter to marry Jenna Bush
by Malcolm Drury
Clarence House has announced that in addition to Prince Charles marrying Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince Harry Potter is to marry Jenna Bush, daughter of US President "Boy" George W. Bush.

Sir Michael Peat-Moss, Chief Principal Aide to Prince Charles, made the announcement at a press conference at Clarence House today. He said that Prince Charles and President Bush had discussed the possibility of marriage between their offspring during Mr Bush's State Visit to the UK in 2003 but neither of them had followed up on it until recently. However, following an initiative by Prince Charles, it had been decided to proceed, and the president had offered the hand of Jenna. Ms Parker Bowles is understood to be delighted.

Sir Michael said that more details, including of where and when the marriage will take place and where the couple will live, will be forthcoming in due time. He emphasised that there would not be a double wedding, and Harry and Jenna would not be living anywhere near Charles and Camilla. However our reporter was able to obtain further information from Douglas Ramsbottom, Charles's Fourth Assistant Deputy Principal Aide and Presser of the Royal Underpants, over several pints at the "Cock and Bull".

It was apparently Harry's recent Nazi swastika incident that led an exasperated Prince Charles to think about finding a way to settle the young lad down, and he had remembered the marriage discussion. He had finally decided to act upon it after the boy had come home at three in the morning wearing only a sporran, singing "On Ilkley Moor", and banging loudly on the front door demanding to be let in immediately or he would pee on the rhododendrons.

President Bush, he said, had offered the hand of Jenna rather than her sister Barbara for pretty much the same reason. The president had apparently suggested that Harry's brother, Prince Just William, marry Barbara, as Wal-Mart currently have a two-for-one wedding package and it would therefore be considerably cheaper to marry off both girls at once. However William declined, saying he was fully occupied and happy for the present looking after his dog, Prince Jumble, and mucking about with his best friends Douglas, Henry and Ginger. He had also apparently said that as eventual heir to the throne he should get first pick, not be "left with the chubby one".

Contacted by telephone, Jenna Bush told our reporter that she was very happy. "Like, it's totally awesome, I'm gonna be, like, a princess?" she said in the interrogative. "Me and Harry are, like, both party animals and we're gonna, like, get on just great? I just, like, love his accent, but he's gonna, like, have to lose that dorky haircut?"

Her father was equally enthusiastic. "This will further yanite two great nations, the Yanide States o' Merica and the U of K, and two great royal families," he said. "And me and Laura look forward to having Queen and the Dook of Ellington as our in-laws, they're real classy folks. I hope they'll come over to visit us at the ranch. I just know they'd both love a real Texas barbeque."

Harry was not available for comment as, it was understood, he was feeling a little under the weather following a heavy night's promoting the health of Cardinal Puff.

Influence I agree with, to the letter of the law however thats not correct, however, It's about time you guys get rid of her don't you think? Actually, I think I get more annoyed about it perhpas than most, I just hate that b*tch, (maybe more than Bush , if thats even possible) and when I visit Canada I insist on any denomination of your currency other than $20. Grrrr.

What has she ever done for Canada? Meh, if you guys ever march to get rid of her and her family I'm comin for support. :)
