The season is shaping up to be a good one.

I'm a BC Lions fan so no disappointment in seeing them start 3-0. It was a bit of a weird game last night with Saskatchewan. The Roughies knocked out Dickensen and Pierce, and the Lions survived with their #3 QB Jackson. Jackson could be a starter on just about any other team so the situation is pretty good, minus the injuries which don't appear too bad. The Lions defense is as good as it gets. Saskatchewan is a better team than they showed. They'll be a team to reckon with in the end.

Calgary is getting killed these days. What's up with that? They had better turn the ship around quick or a lot of people will be looking for new work.

The Argos have lost Bishop for 6-8 weeks. That's too bad. It seems he has never been given enough opportunity in this league and just as he was getting it he went down. Damon Allen is too long in the tooth.

Winnipeg lost a close one to Edmonton. Milt Stegal isn't his old self but only needs one more TD to break the all-time record. They both look competitive. Not sure where Hamilton stands these days. They certainly can't be any worse than last year. Montreal is off to a slow start but should hang around.

It will be a fun year for CFL fans.

...Milt Stegal isn't his old self but only needs one more TD to break the all-time record...

oh come on. The longer it takes for Stegal to score that last one the better. The offensive coaching staff just has to get used to adjusting to his being more of a decoy than usual is all. Its a team sport. With guaranteed double coverage the flat in his wake is WFO. They could already toss eight yarders to him all day but right now there's no need for him to get his ribs messed up.

Two weeks ago he almost ground the rookie safety into the dust running posts. Not his old self my ass. He's scarier than ever.

I watched the Lions/Saskatchewan last night. The lions defensive team look awsome. Lots of
turnovers by Saskatchewan, and their fans became very very quiet, it's not what they were expecting
at all.
It's great to have 3 quarterbacks who are that good. Dickenson hasn't played that well yet, but he will,
and it's good to have wins when he isn't at his best, shows the depth of the team.
I don't know very much about the rest of the league, but I'm learning.

Dickensen has a concussion. Pearce didn't break anything in his hand. Looks like a bruise, and he should start next game against Hamilton. Hamilton's Jason Maas better pull up his socks. He'll need to establish a running game with Jesse Lumsden or he'll spend the evening running for his life at BC Place, if the Lions D don't take the night off.

Maas used Lumsden all he could and they almost got a win in BC. Nevertheless Hamilton is 0-4. I only caught the last quarter. The game looked like a stinker.

Calgary took the boots to Toronto in revenge for the previous blowout.

Montreal lost another at home. It's rare they ever lose at home, now twice already this year.

Saskatchewan clobbered Edmonton 51-14 this weekend. The Riders are team to reckon with this year.

BC defeated Calgary at McMahon Stadium to give them a 5-0 start. Jarius Jackson, 3rd string QB, managed to finish the job for an injured #2 QB. The Lions defense was relentless. Burris was running for his life, yet he played a fairly good game. The turnovers killed him.

The game between the Lions and Riders next Thursday should be a good one. The Lions have a ton of injuries. The secondary has really been beat up the last few weeks. The Rider's will look to take advantage of it, although the Lions have depth all over their roster.
