Cash does a pretty good cover of "Hurt", maybe even better then the original by NIN. On his last album, he does a cover of "if you could read my mind" by Gordon Lightfoot, it's pretty damn good too.

It's a shame that house burned down, he must have wrote quite a bit of his music there.

I heard Cash's version before I heard the NIN version. Frankly, compared to hearing Cash sing it, NIN sounds like little kids singing about stuff they couldn't possibly know. lol.

Apparently I'm deeply in a mood for moody music today. Here's another that's petting my soul today, fairly new music by City and Color.

I saw Trent Reznor (he IS Nine Inch Nails) perform 'Hurt' live many moon ago. it was tragically beautiful. Johnny Cash's version is it's own gorgeous entity...I cannot compare the two.

I am sad to hear of the burnt house, but the Match-made-in-Heaven are no longer in need of that place, as they are together again but in a better place.

I saw NIN perform "Hurt" last year at a concert, it was pretty impressive.

Tragically beautiful???

I was very impressed with NIN live...that was one of the better concerts I've seen.
