Any self proclaimed folkies out there??
I'm heading to the Canmore Folk Music festival this weekend. It's a fabulous little festival that has excellent performers, but hasn't reached the crazy mob like situation that is present in some of the bigger city festivals (Edmonton for example).
I went to the Edmonton festival for 5 years in a row before I discovered the little gem of the Canmore Festival. I don't think I'll ever go back to Edmonton for their festival. It's gotten far too big, and even a little too commercial!!
The weather is supposed to be beautiful, and it's an excellent opportunity for me to introduce my unborn baby to the joys of folk music (before my husband starts in with the "Rage Against the Machine" and the "Beastie Boys".
