I like to check out world events by clicking on local newspapers and news sources:

Re the CBC Newsworld . What's happened to it? It's gone from a fair source of news to 'pathetic'. We're in the middle of an election and it's an 'afterthought' in my selection. I flip it on and am more likely to see a canned documentary than 'news'. What does the CBC do with its billion dollars? I still like CBC radio but it's even become more frivolous and irrelevent.
What's the purpose of CBC local television in urban centers? We have excellent private stations and the CBC is a quality (and ratings) joke next to them. What's the point? I don't have a problem with more geographically distant spots having CBC but it should be a supplemental service and not a competitor where private enterprise fills the gap.
