Nothing really .....I have just recently started actually watching the news and I have been realizing that a lot of stuff that is...for lack of better vocabulary...bad. I mean all these murders and drug busts and gang related shootings I dont really feel safe. of course you guys may, different parts of canada are different but in most places this stuff is happining more and more often.

Was Victoria, now Ottawa
The news loves to report things like that. It's good for ratings. You always hear the bad stuff but it's not that much. I've never seen a drug bust and I've lived in Canada all my life. And if you do a bit of travelling, you'll notice how good we have it here.

As far as my own safety is concerned I feel okay. But I feel like i've noticed an increase in violent reports lately as well...There have been several high-profile drug busts in and around my area, and we're still talking about some murders that have happened recently here.

They DO mention the number of homicides every so-often on the nightly news.

IE: "A 22 year old man is wanted, this is Toronto's 12th homicide of the year".

I see you're in Ottawa, try Hintonburg if you want to get in on the action. :D

Drug busts, hookers, bar fights - it's great!
