Socrates the Greek, President elect Obama is strongly committed to reducing greenhouse gases. So are Australia, Britain etc. Europe has been on board for a long time now.

I think Canada is now isolated on the environmental front. If Harper does not take any action (and his instincts are to ignore the global warming, witness his ‘joke’ proposal last year to reduce the greenhouse gases somewhat, maybe by the year 2050), Canada risks becoming an environmental Pariah, a North Korea or a Zimbabwe of environment.
