CALGARY - Police in Vancouver and Toronto are helping get the word out about a missing Calgary woman.
Shannon Burgess, 25, was last seen about 12:30 a.m. Nov. 27 at her home in the 1900 block of Spiller Rd. in southeast Calgary.
She was reported missing Dec. 1, after failing to show up for plans she’d made with family and friends that weekend.
Though police have no indication of foul play in the case, it is considered unusual for Burgess not to be in contact with loved ones.
On Thursday, both the Vancouver Police Service and the Toronto Police Service issued news releases saying investigators have received information suggesting she may be in one of those two cities.
Burgess is also known to travel to Edmonton for her work as a performance artist and stand-up comedian.
She is described as 130 lbs. and 5-foot-6, with red hair and green eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
