The US's image lies in tatters internationally. The Iraq invasion, executed to demonstrate American military prowess and technological superiority, has backfired. A new geopolitical era is beginning. Will a shamed America be able to stay at the table given the tremendous setback Iraq has been or will it retreat and choose an increasing isolationism as its new international face?
The debacle in Iraq has been a defeat for the US on more fronts than one would wish to count or acknowledge.
