He stands to be a successful PM, too. When he's taken us out of the EU he'll win the next election in a landslide.

Course it did. It's an empire which created the USA and Canada, as we all know (and I'm sure you're all thankful for the British Empire for that). But I don't see what that's got to do with anything.

It is the EU which is the imperialist empire, not Britain. Brexit is the opposite of imperialism - it is national independence from an empire.

And if Brexit is wrong, then logic - and this is where it may get tricky for you and your friend to work out - dictates that US and Canadian independence is wrong, too.
