The trailer for the much-anticipated movie about Rob Ford’s scandal-driven last year as mayor of Toronto, Run This Town, has been released.
But, unfortunately, we don’t get to see much of Damian Lewis, who plays Ford while wearing heavy makeup and a fat suit.
Lewis, a British actor who has starred on TV in Billions, Homeland and Band of Brothers, can be briefly seen sitting in the dark behind a desk, presumably in Ford’s office at city hall, while playing with a cookie.
In fact, very little of the plot can be determined from the 85-second clip released through the film’s Twitter account. Nearly half the trailer is of a long shot of a man walking slowly through a poorly-lit parking garage.
Run This Town is scheduled to be released on March 6, although it made its premier at the South by Southwest festival in Austin last spring.

The 99-minute movie, directed by Ricky Tollman and also featuring Canadian actors Nina Dobrev, Mena Massoud and Scott Speedman, is loosely set to Ford’s crack-smoking scandal in 2013 that dominated his last year as mayor. Ben Platt plays a composite of the reporters who broke the story.
Ford died March 22, 2016, after a battle with cancer. He served one term as mayor of Toronto.
