When it comes to four or five day Test matches, England usually win. But when it comes to One Day Internationals (ODIs) England aren't as good. The one day game doesn't seem to suit England. But even though England lost the last few matches in the One Day version of cricket against Pakistan this summer, England have won this one, with Ian Bell and Andrew Strauss both hitting half-centuries.

Pakistan 235-8
England 237-2
England win by 8 wickets.
----
Pakistan (235-8 ) lost to England (237-2) by eight wickets
Andrew Strauss and Ian Bell hit half-centuries as England thrashed Pakistan by eight wickets at Trent Bridge to record their first one-day win on home soil this summer
--------------
England opener Marcus Trescothick had not been selected for the fourth one-day international with Pakistan at Trent Bridge following his announcement on Wednesday that he was suffering from a "sensitive medical condition"
--------------
The Somerset man had made himself unavailable for next month's ICC Champions Trophy in India, but has though declared himself ready to tour Down Under in November as England attempt to retain the Ashes
-------------
Middlesex opener Ed Joyce came in to replace Trecothick at the top of the order, while England made one other change from the side that lost to Pakistan on Tuesday at the Rose Bowl, bringing in Sussex all-rounder Yardy for Rikki Clarke
-------------
England, and Jon Lewis, made the perfect start when the Gloucestershire medium pacer had opener Mohammad Hafeez caught at first slip by captain Andrew Strauss for eight
----------
And Lewis then snared the prized scalp of Pakistan vice-captain Younis Khan for a duck, caught by Paul Collingwood low down at second slip
---------
Lancashire paceman Sajid Mahmood claimed an important lbw decision against dangerous all-rounder Shahid Afridi as wickets continued to fall
--------
Mohammad Yousuf bottom-edged the ball on to his own stumps to give Yardy (3-24 on debut) his first wicket of the match
---------
Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq attempted to stop the rot with a solid 47 before being caught and bowled by James Dalrymple
---------
Yardy then sent Shoaib Malik back to the pavilion, caught and bowled for a duck, as Pakistan continued to lose wickets at regular intervals
--------
However, all-rounder Abdul Razzaq then launched a ferocious assault on the England bowling, clubbing his way to an unbeaten 75 from just 72 deliveries, an innings that included five fours and five sixes
---------
When England began their reply, there was immediate controversy when captain Andrew Strauss appeared to have been caught by his opposite number, Inzamam, low down at first slip.
However, the two onfield umpires referred the decision to the third umpire, who gave Strauss not out ...
----------
... much to Inzamam's obvious displeasure
----------
Strauss went on to score 74 off 97 balls, including nine fours, before he was bowled by Mohammad Hafeez
He added 110 in 20 overs with Ian Bell for the second wicket as England headed towards their first one-day victory of the summer
-------Man----
Bell continued his rich vein of form with another half-century, brought up off 53 balls, to make sure the victory was completed
of-the-match Bell ended on 87 not out as he and Kevin Pietersen (41 not out) played the perfect end game, putting on an unbeaten 89 as they ensured the England win with 22 balls to spare
Pakistan lead the series 2-1 with one match left to play
