Westmanguy- I had made a post where I suggested that you did not understand me. In doing that I said that I would repeat for the benefit of the mentally challenged and the reading impaired, or something to that effect. The moderators have construed that as an insult against you and a violation of the rules. I sincerely don't agree that it was anywhere near some of the abuse which has been thrown at me in the past by numerous posters and specifically you, by nonetheless. The moderators see is as an abuse of the rules and for that reason I apologize if it offended you.

And ya know what Westy, I am pleased that we are setting some point of reference on this forum now, so I have no difficulty in apoligizing in the least. I was wrong to say it and you have my apology.

But rest assured all, this has now set a parameter for this forum which was previously nowhere near the standard for good behaviour. The onus is now on everyone to behave appropriately in keeping with this standard.

respectfully...

lieexpsr,

While I may not have had a direct hand in the dealings of late where your postings have been concerned, that does not mean I have not been paying attention.

Let me come clean as I see all this; it is not necessarily the content of your posts which raised the hackles it has but rather the tone set within the posts. Every one has a bad day or short stretch where posts are not exactly as civil as we would like, or the poster would like either but that is to be expected on occasion and so long as it does not represent a pattern of behaviour, we generally let it slide.

Let me be the first to say that I am quite impressed with your apology and I do hope that the persistant aggressiveness in your posts will diminsh to a point where it does not constitute a pattern of behaviour. So, I can only speak for myself but thank you for stepping up and trying to restore civility to the board and your interactions with at least one member.

lieexpsr,

So, I can only speak for myself but thank you for stepping up and trying to restore civility to the board and your interactions with at least one member.

Who granted you the temerity to interfere in my apology to another member? Your apology is now in order! Let me make something perfectly clear to you then. If one can't say specifically what is wrong with my posts then he should hold his tongue. I am not in the business of accepting reprimands from you or anyone else on this forum who has no authority in the least. You are simply not welcome! If you understood my remarks you will know that the level of decency has been raised considerably since I started taking part on this forum. It has been raised because there are certain parties who have made it their business to censor my thoughts because they don't agree with me. (This is not an attack on the mods, it is an attack directed at the posters themselves)

And if anything, they all should be thanking me for dragging this forum up out of the filth and abusiveness it was, to a point where if anyone says boo with the wrong expression on his face he will be in trouble. I can live with it and now the question is, can everyone else?

For an example of the abusiveness and rudeness which was tolerated before and for which I am now under the gun, just go back a couple of days. Or look at my signature for an outstanding example of what they had chosen as the norm!

And finally let me say, I have no interest in your condescenging opinoins and your placing of blame on me when it is adequately clear that I was living within the status quo.

Have a nice evening nevertheless!

So much for the nice approach then.

You are now notified that I, as a mod, will not pull any punches and will determine your suitability to remain here with the utmost conservative interpretation of the ToS. Whether my interpretation is fair in your eyes is utterly irrelevant. As per the terms of service, we are not obligated to provide reasoning for our decisions and in this case you will not receive one. As for living within the status quo as you coined it. Well, that too is at OUR discretion, not yours.

Any long term poster here knows it takes a LOT to rile me and that unless directed otherwise I am happy to let things sort themselves out. YOU have managed to rile me so do not expect an ounce of compassion or leniency. If another post of yours even remotely resembles a slam on another member or if there is a hint of dissrespect for the admin staff here... well... you get the idea.

Thanks I guess... seems more like a throttled apology from pressure from the mods.

So thanks for following through with that... and mods thanks for realizing the uncivil behavior us members have been dealing with!

:D
