Shell and I are die-hard Most Haunted fans. Some of the programs are pretty wild. Anyone here watch it? Do you think its a put on or is it real??
robin gets hired to find ghosts in people's trousers .....she's really quite good at it....Hmmm ... think so, TriedIt? I feel the guy has an ability but he's a showman through and through which kinda detracts from his believability. There's just something about him that I really like.
Do you watch the show? Or do you watch any of the paranormal shows? We find that stuff really fascinating!
Hey Blackleaf,
We missed the "Live" show but have heard tons about it. Dang.
I went to the forum there and read some of the stuff O'Keefe said about Derek. I do think Derek is a showman ... he sometimes tips over the top with his "possessions" but I do think he's the real deal under that. Apparently various movie stars use his services. One of the sparkly rings he wears is supposed to be from Cher, the singer.
Shell and I don't care for O'Keefe much. He's a cranky little thing and we find his examination of facts lacking. He doesn't address some of the phenomena that is most compelling. Like when they were on the Queen Mary and Richard was sleeping in the bedroom. You distinctly heard a child's voice saying "Mama" while he was sleeping. No comment on that.
We're getting re-runs here in Canada, unfortunately. I wish we'd get the new show!
We live in Victoria, BC, Canada and there are lots of cool ghosties here -- or so they say. There are "ghost walks" which we're hoping to take one night. Would be very cool if "Most Haunted" paid this place a visit!
I loved watching the show...love seeing the places they visit, hearing some of the history of the places...loved watching the hysteria pass from person to person.
Not a big fan of Mr. Acorah. They've had better psychics on the show...less showy more...human.
Cosmo, they should definatley go to Victoria...They could check out the Ross Bay cemetary for one...see if they can find out about some of the "ceramonies" that have gone on there.
O'Keefe often ignores the things in which he can't easily find a logical explanation. There was an episode in The Golden Fleece pub in York (reputedly the most haunted city in Europe, if not the world, with over 500 recorded hauntings) and the pub is supposedly haunted by the former landlord who died in the very early 1700s. He also used to be the Mayor of York. Whilst in one of the rooms with two guys from Radio One who were on the shows as guests, there is a distinct, creepy laugh in Yvette's ear. It is a deep, guttural laugh. Yvette got so scared she started crying and had to be taken outside. When Ciaran took the recording to special lab at his university to see if normal person in the room could have caused the laugh the results said that it was impossible. He didn't even try offer an explanation as to what could have caused it.
Ciaran even once tried to suggest that the ouija board - when they use a glass and it moves around the table - may be caused by involuntary muscle spasms in the arms.
