RE: Annan Rescinds Immuni

Annan has said that he would rescind immunity since this whole thing started, so this is really no surprise.

I have heard that neocons were revving up a US out of UN & UN out of US campaign last December, but then the Tsunami struck, and since no other body was so well positioned to handle the logistics, it queered their play before it really got started.

But mind, it is only a rumour, I could find no substantive source that would confirm it.

The whole Oil for Food "scandal" is part of that campaign, GL. The US was fully aware of corruption within the program, the UN has documentation of thelling the US there was corruption. Bush extended the program after the invasion because it was so effective. The attack began right after Annan said the invasion of Iraq was illegal.

About the only surprise there has been is the involvement of Sevan, but even that smells a bit. He managed over $67 billion, and we are told he was terribly corrupt...on the take from start to finish and crooked as they come. The documentation for that shows Sevan profiting by a $100k or $150k. It doesn't seem like the amount he'd risk his career and reputation over considering he could have made millions.
