actually, studies show that women want two types of men. they want the "masculine" man during ovulation to obtain the best genes for their offspring, but desire a "loving, caring, reliable raise-the-kids" type guy for the house.

where do you spend your time AF? i have yet to meet a woman that does not have her own opinions. then again, i have spent most of my time in academia, the politics of which.....

Take those two types and combine them, and that's me, my dad, my grandpa, and so on. My parents have been married for almost 30 years now, and my grandpa for over 50.

I meant an opinion that wasn't adopted, but forged from knowledge and experience. I have a few things working against me too that I should have mentioned. Women my age won't give me the time of day, even those a few years younger, because I look to be 5 years younger than I am. I actually have had women who were 3 years even 4 years younger than me, turn me down because they don't date younger men.
Where do these women hang out?

i guess it depends where you meet people. as you mentioned experience is important, and so is personal development. Unfortunately, people naturally use appearance as their primary method of evaluation which is exasperated by the (IMO) dysfunctional western world dating system (and social structure of which it is a part of).

But hey, i can relate to what you are saying. In my younger days i was a magnet for younger girls and now i seem to be a magnet for old women (read over 30). Fortunately i have a girlfriend who is who she wants to be and does respects me being me being me.
