Yup the Americans, at least in Congress, like us it would seem, or at least our commitment to working in the Islamic republic.

Funny thing is there was not one Congress person who voted against the resolution. Which is odd. As there is always someone bitching about something and always wanting a favour to vote for something and someone bound to just not like Canada or something or other.

maybe those people skipped out of the vote? lol

RE: American Congress res

Burton says the vote is a small token of appreciation to Canada, which he says is facing its own growing threat of terrorists inspired by Al Qaeda

It's the least the could do considering it is our growing involvment in Afghanistan that is causing the growing threat of terrorist attacks in our country.

edit: this craptop has a date with the pacific ocean soon grrrrrrr

Then again we could leave the Islamic Republic and let the democratically elected government fall and the Taliban come back with its terrorist training camps and we can hope and pray as they train new terrorists they don't strike Canada. No I think supporting the current government in Afghanistan is the only way to ensure that the Taliban doesn't come back.
