Alleged gunman arrested in TD bank robbery

TORONTO - The second man charged in a violent bank robbery in which two people were shot made a brief court appearance on Wednesday.
Lenroy Jackson, 27, of Toronto, was remanded in custody during an appearance in an Old City Hall courtroom.
Police alleged Jackson and Andre Palmer, 26, of Brampton, stormed a TD Bank on St. Clair Ave., at Jane St., on Sunday and made off with an undisclosed amount of money. A male customer and a female teller were shot during the robbery.
Investigators alleged Jackson was armed with a silver handgun and shot the male customer — who tackled Palmer to the ground — and the teller.
He faces nine charges, including attempted murder and robbery while armed with a firearm.
Palmer was arrested Monday afternoon and faces six charges, including attempted murder, robbery while armed with a firearm.
