Now I would like to state that for everyone on the forums that Christianity, Judiasm and Islam are the same religion there is just differention variations to it. For instance in Islam, Moses which is the Jewish Prophet who wrote the Torah is still a prophet and is on the same standing as Prophet Muhammed. It is just because his work was completed along time in the past and changes have been made to the Torah since, it has resulted in imperfections that Allah saw so then Jesus, Prophet of the Christians, came along to correct the imperfections of Judaism with Christianity. Then Allah stated after several hundred years that the followers of Christ had become "imperfect' in their ways and therefore one final prophet would be given the teachings of Allah to present to the people the true belief of Allah's teachings. Therefore that is why Muslims are extremely resistance for the Quran to be changed even though some passages have become outdated because they will fill that they would have become imperfect in Allah's eyes. That is why they interpret the wording in a 21st century light instead of a 6th century light which technically is okay.

Also Allah is the Arabic word for god, therefore he isn't a different god, and Christians and Jews in the Middle East use Allah in their sermons.

If anyone has any more questions I will answer them here.

Thank you so much. I thought it was all pretty much the same God figure. There are some differences in the prophet/son of God areas, but basically the same God. I don't understand what all the bickering between (some of) the groups is about. If you're all worshiping the same entity who cares what the method is?

Great post!

yeah I agree robin great post.
I remember Joeseph Campbell talking about the same thing, Robin. He said they were fighting over metaphors.
These people share the same father,Abraham if I'm not mistaken, what you think Palestinian, the same belief, the same land, the same Prophets.

I love Arabs. The one thing you can count on is if you show them respect ten fold will come back your way from them. They are a beautiful people with a deep culture. You cannot enter an Arab home without being fed, maybe thats the real reason i love them:p

First of all Allah is not the Islamic God, Allah simply means God in arabic. All religions believe there is one God. There are some slight differences- Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet and not the son of God, just to give one example.
Muslim people are nice people- its sad with what is going on in the middle east for decades, that some ignorant uneducated people believe that all muslims are terrorists. The Quran is said to be the most accurate religious book as it has not been rewritten many times like the Bible has. Believe it or not, but statistics show that more people are converting to Islam then they are to Christianity.
I am not a Muslim, but I know people very close to me that are, and they have educated me on Islam.
Just watch how this thread there will be a bad comment about Muslims in general, I hope not, but I am not holding my breath.

I think people who are truly religious, that being in step with God's instruction regardless of "brand name" are simply shining stars. I live in a VERY multicultural building and I have learned so much about different celebrations and stuff. Im so thankful that my son is growing up in this area. He has friends who are muslim, catholic, and protestant (that's all Im aware of so far) and of course his mom is Wiccan. It is my sincere hope that raising him to respect and embrace all religions to a degree will prevent him from joining gangs or being prejudiced.

When you meet a person who is truly full of God's love it just vibrates out of them. Even the Jehovah's Witnesses who come to my door are so full of love--at least until they hear I support homosexuality and goddess worship LOL

Thank you for stating what I have stated in my original post, more clearly for some posters.

Also I stated in title that it is better known as the Islamic god because some evangicals and some Americans and Canadians and westerners in general think that because it is a different name it is a different god.
