Air India testimony grinds to a halt

Just finished reading the article cited in the opening.
I've just about given up on Canadians. This article absolutely inflames me with outrage at the double-talk...lack of sincerity and willingness to obfuscate and dodge responsibility on the part of Canada's elected officials.
Like aboriginal issues, twenty years later, we're learning that a great deal went wrong and is wrong with the justice and enforcement elements of our great nation.....
And this rube has the gall to say that "Well we can't convince a witness to testify because we can't convince him/her that they will be kept safe....so let's all go get a drink and think about all this stuff some more and pretend there's any committment on the part of this government to accept responsibility for having failed miserably once again to secure Canada and Canadians against terrorism and gross ineptitude by our official mechanisms..."
But hey I've been watching and listening to the various presentations and media bits and it's become very clear that Canadians...Canadians of non-Indian descent don't really care that 329 people perished at the hands of an inept and corrupt government.
I can guarantee you that if the aircraft had been loaded with members of the NHL or a CFL team...there'd have been an intensive investigation launched immediately and a great deal more done to examine and address this travesty of justice....than there has been for these 329 people.
Just like everything else in this country, Canadians are either too stupid to realize the gravity of this circus or simply too apathetic to hold our elected goons responsible. A handful of people died because of tainted water in Walkerton and the newspapers and televisions were buzzing for days.... Multi millions of dollars are stolen as a matter of course by our governments and big-business and Canadians sit back ...tsk tsk...aint that too bad....gee I wonder if the games on yet.."
And how can any Canadian trumpet the cause of rebuilding Afghanistan and committing to stand by our subscription to NATO when our own government now and governments of years gone by allow the injustice of terrorism to take this kind of toll on innocent Canadians within our domestic boundaries and airspace?
Yeah ...support our troops because we're all making such good money out here in Alberta and in Ontario placating our American business partners and we wouldn't want to rock the boat by not being seen as prepared to sacrifice our people to a lie...but hey let the same government away with murder and negligence.
