50 years since Princess Anne kidnapping attempt

Yesterday (20th March) marked 50 years since Ian Ball attempted to kidnap Princess Anne, Queen Elizabeth II's daughter.

Apparently when Ball told her to get into his car she replied: "Not bloody likely."

Ball was taken down by a boxer who punched him in the face and he was later awarded the George Medal by Queen Elizabeth II.

Today the King's sister, 73, enjoys a very high popularity rating amongst the British public for her country's service and no-nonsense attitude...
