Congrats US. Looked like a lot of exciting games in the tournament.

About lacrosse, I hope we can be somewhat competitive in the years ahead without Paul and Gary Gait.

Gary Gait is a lacrosse genius --- I have a tape of him playing for the Syracuse Orangemen when he, his brother Paul, and Tom Marechek made it into the greatest team in NCAA history. On top of all that, he is probably the greatest coach in that and in all other sports. He was able to convert indoor or box lax players into field players and that's how they were able to defeat my Yanks in the lax championship.

As for being both a great player and great coach, there probably has never been anyone like Gary Gait. Not just in lacrosse, but in all sports.

In my 50+ years of watching sports, I have never seen one athlete dominate his sport in so many ways as Gary Gait has done with lacrosse. He is the greatest player and greatest coach the game has ever seen.

I watch a great many sports but know of few who dominated their sport as player and coach. He stands out above all.

Gary Gait is # 1. And I sincerely believe that I will never say that about anyone else ever again.
