If Justin Trudeau is going to ‘Crash & Burn,’ What costume would he wear?

Yeah, but what's "lucky," being in True Dope's cabinet or being thrown out of it? Seems fairly likely "thrown out of True Dope's cabinet" will become a badge of honour in Canadian politics.
Lucki is the RCMP commissioner that just got her tits in the wringer for attempting to use a mass murder to promote turdOWE's gun grabber laws.

Lucki her!
The Mass Casualty Commission report would explain that Campbell had personally ordered RCMP spokespeople “not to release information about the perpetrator’s firearms out of concern that it would jeopardize the ongoing investigation into the perpetrator’s access to firearms.”

But according to Campbell’s notes, Lucki was displeased with this explanation, saying “we didn’t understand, that this was tied to pending gun control legislation that would make officers and public safer by or through this legislation.”

The legislation in question was a May 1, 2020 Order-in-Council — introduced only 10 days after the massacre — that instantly prohibited more than 1,500 types of long guns exhibiting what the government referred to as “assault-style” characteristics.

As the list omitted any number of Canadian long guns able to fire high-powered cartridges in quick succession, the “assault-style” label mostly applied to esthetic features such as pistol grips or black colouring.

The Liberals had promised a ban on “military-style assault rifles” during the 2019 federal election, but Trudeau’s introduction of the May 2020 Order-in-Council capitalized heavily on the recent massacre in Nova Scotia.

The ban’s connection to the massacre would turn out to be largely superficial, as the primary weapons were already illegal guns prohibited by Canadian law.

Nevertheless, the Order-in-Council did prohibit the Ruger Mini-14 rifle. One of which, originally sourced from a Canadian gun shop, was illegally in the killer’s possession at the time of the massacre.

After news of Lucki’s attempted intervention received wide attention this week, both Lucki and Emergency Preparedness Minister Bill Blair have responded by inferring that Campbell’s notes are wrong. The rest at the above link.

In an official statement from RCMP headquarters, Lucki said, “I would never take actions or decisions that could jeopardize an investigation.”

She acknowledged that her discussion with Campbell was “tense,” adding, “I regret the way I approached the meeting.” But she said that sharing information was standard procedure and “does not impact the integrity of ongoing investigations.”

Blair — who once served as Chief of the Toronto Police before entering federal politics — similarly told reporters on Tuesday that he never interfered with RCMP operations or pressed for the release of information to aid a pending gun ban. Both claims directly contradict Campbell’s version of events.

The news also earned condemnation from NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, whose party is the junior partner in a de facto coalition keeping the Trudeau government in power. “The idea that this government — that any government — would use this horrific act of mass murder to gain support for their gun policy is completely unacceptable,” he said in a statement.

Well, at least they know Jagmeet-Justin Trudeau-Singh is there and has their backs. I’ve read that Lucki was operating on instructions from The PMO via Blair:
On the Lucki-Liberal firestorm however, Singh is ablaze with condemnation: “The idea that this government — that any government — would use this horrific act of mass murder to gain support for their gun policy is completely unacceptable. Not only is this inappropriate, it fuels cynicism about our democracy and the elected officials who participate in it.”

But thankfully, Justin & Jagmeet are in bed together until at least 2025, so “Phew!” from the Liberals.

After all, how could Singh continue support for a government that “would use (an) horrific act of mass murder to gain support for (its) gun policy?” And after issuing so radiant a condemnation of that government, would not continuing to be its protector radically “fuel cynicism about our democracy?” And cynicism for “the elected officials (especially leaders of opposition) who participate in it?”

This is as close to power the NDPee has ever come. They will support turdOWE until he is removed from office. With luck, both anti-democratic parties will go down in flames.

Pressuring the RCMP to release details about the guns used in the Nova Scotia mass shooting in order to engineer support for gun-control rules, as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberals are accused of doing, shows, yet again, that this government is no place for anyone with a sense of ethics.

Body of the story at the above Link…

For the prime minister, all of this is hardly surprising, but for Blair, it reveals the high cost of membership in the Trudeau cabinet.

Virtually every day seems to be yielding some new piece of evidence to contradict Trudeau government denials that they exercised any political “interference” in the aftermath of an April 2020 mass shooting that killed 22 people.

This week, the Mass Casualty Commission – the federal inquiry struck to probe the Nova Scotia massacre – released a letter from a top civilian employee in the Nova Scotia RCMP expressing “disgust” with RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki for allegedly exploiting the tragedy to push a federal gun control package.

“I could not believe what you, the leader of our organization, was saying and I was embarrassed to be privy to what was unfolding,” reads the letter by Lia Scanlan, the division’s communications director at the time of the shooting.

Details of the meeting first came to light when the Mass Casualty Commission released the handwritten notes of Nova Scotia RCMP Superintendent Darren Campbell.

According to documents obtained by the National Post, Liberal cabinet members – including Blair — already knew within days of the massacre what guns had been used by the shooter. The issue was that the information wouldn’t be public knowledge on May 1, when the Liberals did indeed unveil a sweeping ban on more than 1,500 types of long guns.

Exactly. Absolutely dead on.

Singh is starting to piss me off even more than Trudeau.

Two peas in a pod.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau came to office in 2015 with a simple message : “It’s about the middle class.” But as more and more people struggle to pay their bills thanks to levels of inflation not seen since the early 1980s, it’s become vividly clear that Liberal claims about fighting for the middle class don’t translate into a genuine concern for working Canadians.

The government’s hypocrisy was on full display on Tuesday, when Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, promoting the government’s response to runaway inflation at a trucking company in Brampton, Ont., dismissed concerns about high fuel prices hurting truckers and raising the cost of goods and services.

“From my perspective, this price increase in fuel costs is a reminder of why climate action is so important, and why as a country we have to work even harder and move even faster towards a green economy,” she said. “It’s an insurance policy against higher energy prices.”

Her tone-deaf response showed a complete lack of regard for the very real struggles many Canadians are facing due to the high cost of living. But it should not come as a surprise: since coming to office, the Liberals have made no secret of their desire to raise fuel prices, in order to reduce carbon emissions and incentivize more energy-efficient technologies.

Policies such as the carbon tax and punishing restrictions placed on the oil and gas sector have always been a problem. But when the economy was strong and inflation was low, their economic impact was not as readily apparent.

The federal government is broken — but you wouldn’t know it from following the summer adventures of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

It’s no secret that the prime minister loves photo-ops, but he usually manages to at least tangentially connect them to some sort of issue. War in Ukraine? Time for a heavily photographed European tour to distract from the Emergencies Act Fiasco in Ottawa, Just-in time (Phew!). Outrage over residential schools? Someone find him a teddy bear and a well-lit place to kneel or light a church on fire.

But his latest string of photo-ops don’t even bother with rhyme or reason as he tours the country seemingly at random, for no real purpose, doing basically nothing. One day he’s playing camp counsellor in the woods, the next he’s all smiles and no mask on a sightseeing train. Next thing you know, he’s picking cherries and chumming it up with fruit growers in British Columbia.

So far, no one’s been able to figure out quite why he’s doing this. He hasn’t used the trips to make any policy or funding announcements, wasn’t in town for fundraisers and the notion of a fall election seems absurd even by Liberal standards.

It’d be great if the media could ask him during one of his many photo-ops, but he’s forbidden journalists from posing questions he wouldn’t want anything to distract from his carefully curated tableaus, and reporters have a pesky habit of wanting to talk about things other than children’s stories and fruit. (????)

It’s becoming harder to find areas of government that aren’t in crisis than ones that are. Chaos and dysfunction are seemingly everywhere. The Trudeau Liberals are failing to deliver on even the most basic government services.

Ironically, it’s the same politicians and political staffers responsible for these failures who can’t seem to fathom why voters are losing trust in Canadian institutions. They view frustration with government “gatekeepers” as unfounded and dangerous, rather than the predictable result of their negligence and general apathy toward average Canadians.

Canadians are frustrated that they cannot receive even basic government services in a timely manner, and that their vacation plans are being disrupted, after over two years of complying with coronavirus restrictions. But the Liberals can’t see that because they’re too busy patting themselves on the back for their supposed moral authority, and Trudeau doesn’t want to hear it while he tours the nation’s summer camps.

Then there’s Jagmeet Singh. Why does he not use his leverage to demand a cancellation of the carbon tax, better treatment for Alberta, a withdrawal of confidence unless boil-water advisories are finally lifted by a fixed and near date? Why not insist that Parliament return to its full, non-remote functioning in the fall, demand far greater resources for the auditor general, make a determined push for a real and immediate inquiry into the invocation of the Emergencies Act, and accelerate the inquiry into the RCMP and the Nova Scotia mass shooting?

Don't be racist. He's on walkabout. It's an ancient Aboriginal tradition.

In Australia.
