Should have just given the universal basic income for single mothers and let them be mothers rather than to rush them out into the workforce to pay a mortgage.
The whole idea of both parents working to acquire materialistic things is a contrary argument to having kids. They already gave income splitting the okay but that was just another tax benefit for the rich.
Children are the victims in this plan.

CBC could just grab random people and ask them to read that days news for $200 or whatever it takes. Wouldn't really matter a hill of beans and it might drive the ratings.

But it's the REST of the programming that CBC does that honestly I don't want to see removed from airwaves - regardless of what 'airwaves' it is. So no, don't 'defund' CBC, but rather put conditions on how the money is spent.

Defunding means relying on ad dollars not going off the air.
Now that Canada has top notch production companies CBC has farming out productions rather than doing it all in house. They have a few excellent programs.
