Enlightenment is liberation from the pretense of a future. Without a future, where did the past go?
It is the end of the known, and the endless exploration of the unknown! It is the end of a struggle to be anybody or do anything. It is the end of looking for anything. It is the end of trying to get anything
It is the end of trying to hold on to anything. What a relief!

No matter what we do, or where we are, we can only be present right now. So many teachings, from Christ to secular sources, teach that we should not be overly concerned with yesterday or tomorrow, but with with where we are right at the moment. Great wisdom in this thought!

Sanctus ,

That's what Iam saying in most of my posts if one can read between the lines.Past and future are the same, they're not real.

Sanctus : Great wisdom in this thought!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well,I don't know about that;but I guess I,m wise enough not to buy a ticket on a voyage of the "Titanic" even though it would probably be a"cool" trip , 'if you know what I mean' .

Seriously China. The reality for most people is they force themselves to be stuck in the past, constantly bothering themselves over so many things that they can not change. The same for the future. George Harrison, the ex-Beatle, had a song on his "Living in the Material World" l.p. whose title sums this up well , "Be Here Now"

ok seriously. Enlightenment is burying a 22 year old boy that you gave birth too and KNOWING he had learned so much more in 22 years than you had in 43, he GOT it and your STILL trying!! Treasure the now because it slips away like THAT *snap*

I want to say ..."I know what You mean" ,but that wouldn't be the truth.

Death. In itself.

Ethier you would die, hence death. Once you die you will have no worry, you will of known all that you were to know, and Lord willing we will have a place to Go after death will we will get the awnser for who we are. If not, what will the worrys and downsides of life matter, we will be dead.Truely peaceful and enlightend.

Ignorance=Peace of Mind=Enlightenment=Death.

Except for the raptured. For if you will see your loved ones in heaven, then you remember the past. The good and the bad.

The raptured? What the heck are you talking about?

The 'rapture' is a biblical term. In regard to the people that go to heaven before the judgment is laid upon the wicked. They are destined to remember the past, according to the teachings they will be reunited with their families. If they recognize their families, they remember, therefore never gaining enlightenment from the earthly binds.

EVOLUTION
Be or not to be, there's the question...

Hi there,

We are raised by the ashes of our ancestors, pure system in which we renew our biology. The only "God" couldn't care less of a single system when there thousands out there. We don't hold a truth and far from there; looking at our track record in the last millenium or two.

We belong to the same evolution as bacteria but being mammals. Isn't supprising that we are bound for doom.

PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE are only representing a facet of ourselves, ond ONLY ourselves, in a time frame. It's totally irrelevant for anyone's since someone else in an other galaxy looking at us would "see" us in the past, even though we live in the present. And what if you go through a black hold for 1 000 000 years, but it only took you 10 minutes in reality, would you have miss "the end of the world" if it would have happend, or you would be saved since you weren't there "at the end"...

PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE is so irrelevant as to know "why we are here".

Let's enjoy it and KEEP IT SAFE.

We are our own enlightement, so when we kill someone, we definitely broke that link to our roots not to fight against the will of the future regarding the present, DO NOT ALTER IT.

Like butterfly, bee, fish, dogs, elephant. We are bound with a balance that is the most fragile. Our future remains as much in their "paws/hands/whatever" than in our action"s".
