Calling Black people "apes" and "monkeys" has a long history down hereabouts.
Oh come now , we all heard Howard Cosell on Monday Night Football . I am sure he was complimenting that monkey . And black people aren’t smart enough to be quarterbacks Yada Yada . It is no longer 1968 .

You're right about that.

In 1968 many people thought being a racist was a bad thing.

It was Jimmy the Greek who mentioned how slave owners would use selective breeding to develop their stock. Only to be never heard from again.

Cocking the gun again, U.S. President Donald Trump criticized American Olympic skier Hunter Hess on Sunday, days after the athlete expressed mixed feelings about representing the U.S. at the Winter Olympics in northern Italy.

"If that's the case, he shouldn't have tried out for the Team, and it's too bad he's on it," Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social media platform, referencing Hess' comments. "Very hard to root for someone like this."

Political tensions have surfaced at the Milano Cortina Olympics, including over the presence of personnel from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The agency has faced widespread protests across the U.S. after agents shot and killed two people in Minneapolis last month.

During a news conference in Milan on Friday, Hess, a freestyle skier, said it was "a little hard" to represent the U.S. and he felt mixed emotions.

"There's obviously a lot going on that I'm not the biggest fan of, and I think a lot of people aren't," he said. "Just because I'm wearing the flag doesn't mean I represent everything that's going on in the U.S."

Fellow ski team member Chris Lillis spoke out against ICE at the same news conference, saying he felt heartbroken.

"I think that as a country we need to focus on respecting everybody's rights and making sure that we're treating our citizens as well as anybody with love and respect," Lillis said. "And I hope that when people look at athletes competing in the Olympics, they realize that that's the America that we're trying to represent."
I wish them nothing but Gold.
Five billion guns in America. Come on.......

Yeah, he's just better at this than you ever were, or will ever be, at anything, dipshit.

Anywho…who had the president of the United States attacking an Olympic athlete in the middle of the international competition on their 2026 bingo card? Anyone?
I mentioned in another thread how inappropriate a topic it was for a 20ish year old athlete to opine upon. He needed to be talking about ski wax or just about anything other than politics. Guaranteed this will be his last Olympics is my guess.

Lets face it, Donald Trump's name surfaces in a lot of conversations.

Don’t remember any of that . Makes a certain amount of sense .
Jimmy may have been the original second man in the booth with Howard Cosell back in the early 1980s. I believe he had a background in sports betting and was right about the genealogy theory. Unfortunately for him, the comments cost him his job.

Can you say, "Crazy old man?"
Trump posted a message to Bondi on social media pressuring her to take action against a number of his political foes.

In an interview with “NBC Nightly News” last week, Trump asserted that he could be more directly involved in federal prosecutions if he desired.

“I think I’m extremely moderate, especially for what they did to me,” he said. “I’m the chief law enforcement officer of the United States. I could be involved, but I’m not.”

The “Weaponization Working Group” was established following an executive order from Trump called “Ending the Weaponization of the Government,” by weaponizing government and directed his administration to “take appropriate action to correct past misconduct.”🤔Ed Martin, named to lead it in May, was removed from his job last week with no public explanation.

The pressure comes as a frustrated Trump has complained about Bondi to aides and allies in recent weeks, describing her as weak and insufficiently aggressive in pursuing cases against his perceived opponents, according to a White House official who had direct knowledge of the comments. Shortly afterward, Justice Department officials involved in the group said they were berated over their inability to produce so far, the person said.
