U.S. Const., Amdt. I (specifically incorporated as binding upon the states in Everson v. Board of Education, 330 U.S. 1 (1947)).
But in this case is it really the state govt establishing a religion? I mean unless they're gonna make the kids stand in front of the poster(s) and recite the Ten Commandments daily and force Biblical studies or something, it's not really establishing a religion.

Maybe the leftards simply have a problem with the "Thou shalt not bear false witness" command since they love doing just that.

The only "Religious" rule that should be posted in any classroom.

If they're pushing JUST ONE version of the 10 Commandments, yes, it is saying that only one version of religion is better than others.

I mean unless they're gonna make the kids stand in front of the poster(s) and recite the Ten Commandments daily and force Biblical studies or something, it's not really establishing a religion.

Your ignorance is more than outstanding today.

But hey, would you be okay with the Pillars of Islam being put up?

How bout other Religious teachings, like Buddha? Vishnu? What about Pagan "commandments"? Wiccan?

Well to be fair, you rightwing wackadoo's love to do it too, soo...

Maybe try making sense?

Okay, gotta hold your hand evidently.

I've seen you go on about Mohammed being married to a 9 year old and how wrong that is and yada yada.

I agree - by the way - that yes, being married that young IS wrong.

But I also recognize that such a belief is by TODAY'S beliefs. In his time, it was normal to see such things.

Hence the point I was making to TAX that if we're going to use today's beliefs to judge those of the past, he and you are just as "Woke" as those of us who take issue with "heroes" of the past for the things they did, that we look back on as wrong today.

What makes you believe you know the right choice for the 75% of Lousiana who follow those 10 rules?

Who made you Judge Judy and Executioner?

Supporting them has become a religion, or perhaps cult is a better word, for some. Then again, I have been told that a cult is just the church down the street from your own.
Yeah, kinda like liberalism and conservatism.

They're not religions. No matter how bad they hurt your feels.

You whiny little butthurt fucks are tiresome.

What heroes?

Do you mean racist/bigoted people who owned slaves and belittled people of other faiths/religions/races/sexualities?

Aww...

While I personally agree that people go too far with that shit, and that we should not hold people of those past times to today's views, your opinion is rather biased as hell when you suggest we should celebrate such people, yet you shit on Mohammed - for example - for only doing what was at HIS historical point, a normal part of their society.

So I guess you and Jinny and others who freak out over that, are just "WOKE" too, eh?

Congrats! You've progressed Tax! Welcome to the "club".
Holy fuck you are dense.

Not as dense as you are, Taxy.

History.

I know you don't like it but it's a "thing" for a reason.

Usually to try and make sure idiots like you don't repeat it. Sadly it tends to happen regardless, because... well... idiots like you.

I agree, keep all that other bullshit from politics to social justice the fuck out of there too.

Except learning about politics - at least generally - SHOULD be a class taught in high school (but I'm biased, I took Poli-Sci and loved it).

As for "Social Justice" - seriously? It scares you that much that you don't think kids should learn about the wrongs done to people in history and how it matters?

There's no such thing from a legislative perspective. Although.... Freedom of Religion means the same as Freedom FROM Religion. So one could probably successfully argue that point.
Free from government control of religion . I don’t see Jewish , Islam , Shinto , Buddism or Christianity mentioned in the Ten Commandments.
Maybe try making sense?
good luck

Yet you are all in on removing and renaming historical figures .

Let's clear this up. 10 Commandments are not going to be taught. They will be posted to the wall right next to the pride flag.

Too bad Louise can't seem to muster up the gumption to mandate posting the Ten Amendments (AKA the Bill of Rights) on classroom walls.

Seems more relevant to an education that purports to produce informed, responsible citizens.
