It's the same reason the fire in Fart McMurray carried longer than expected.

It's climate change, caused primarily by humans.

That's a far cry from global warming generally speaking influences forest fires but I do understand your need to try and twist your comment. It was rather silly. You really should just admit you made a mistake.

It's not a far cry at all nor is it a mistake.

Here it is again in black and white:

Climate change and fire

The occurrence, frequency and behaviour of wildland fires have varied greatly over time and space, chiefly as a result of the complicated influences of climate change and climate variability.

Of course climate change isn't a serious concern now that we know how to eliminate the carbon problem.

It's not a far cry at all nor is it a mistake.

We're not talking about fires in general. You brought up Fort Mac. Dipper mismanagement and remoteness had more to do with the length of the fire but, as I said, I understand your need to try and shift focus. Why do you think the Dippers cut funding? Do you think they were careless or stupid?

Yes, windmills are an excellent substitute but we need plenty more of them and that requires additional revenue from carbon pricing.

Since windmills can produce energy during slow times that can be converted to ethanol, there is no need to subsidize them anymore. If you really need to tax oil because of your ideology, the least you could do is write Rachel a letter and ask her to increase funding for forest fire fighting so we can avoid another Fort Mac

Why do you think the Dippers cut funding? Do you think they were careless or stupid?

I'll wait

I guess you can't explain it then. Maybe you figured out I didn't reinforce your point and now you're too scared to admit it. Or maybe you're having trouble understanding your own point.

Or the idea that just having a technology is meaningless without enough production --- which requires resources, which are paid for by, wait for it....

Actually, it's more that I don't support the carbon tax, so I couldn't possibly be proving his point that carbon tax supporters are ignoring this discovery, because I'm not a carbon tax supporter. His ego is way too wrapped in this now for him to change his tune. He's fully committed to that thing he does when he makes a clown of himself. That defense mechanism he has where he just repeats the same witless nonsense over and over again. "Did you write your letter yet?" "Thanks again for proving my point"

A CARBON TAX

Of course, if you believe taxes are always the solution you will mostly look to more taxation to solve problems. Fortunately history is full of stories of the private sector doing quite well developing technology on its own. I know it's hard for you to accept that we don't always need government but you get over it...or maybe you wont. I doubt very many people care
