Game of Thrones - Sunday. Epîsode Spoiler alert

I'm a bit of a TV nut and this series is right up there on my "can't get enough" list. HBO is pretty consistent in their ability to crank out a successful series.

same here. I get hooked a couple shows and I become addicted. I will often wait until a series has several seasons and then watch it on netflix so I can get my fix. Breaking Bad, Orange is the New Black (can't wait for season 2!) Walking Dead. Sopranos (waited a few years after it's completion to even start this one. I needed to the hype to die down in order to appreciate it) It's ridiculous. It's almost a disability. lol

Great, you know what this means, eh? I'm no longer noticing when people are naked.

haha its starting to have that effect on me. There is so much nudity and sex in the show it becomes normal or nothing special. There have even been a few sex scenes in which the people are having a casual conversation or exposition. I don't quite know why I imagine that would make it a lot less fun.

I loved watching Joffrey's capillaries burst...however, he was a wonderful evil being...don't know who will match him now and I will miss hating him.

As for who did it, I believe it might be his new wife's mother or whoever that old dowager is. She was giving her regrets to Sansi just before hand about how terrible it was to kill someone at a wedding.

Ramsey, the guy who has been torturing Theon for more than a season could hold his own against Joffrey when it comes to evil. Probably even surpass him. He is extremely sadistic and doesn't put any effort into hiding it. Fortunately he will never have a crown or power. The first five minutes of this weeks episode are a good example of how screwed up he is.

As for who poisoned Joffrey, if you pay close attention to the scene you will see that your theory is correct. The preview for next weeks episode back it up too. In the books there was someone else heavily involved in the plan but he hasn't been seen yet this season. I wonder if they'll be changing that. They are starting to get a little further away from the books now compared to the earlier seasons.

Ramsey, the guy who has been torturing Theon for more than a season could hold his own against Joffrey when it comes to evil. Probably even surpass him. He is extremely sadistic and doesn't put any effort into hiding it. Fortunately he will never have a crown or power. aaaaaaaaaaaaaah, excellent... thanks so much...the reason I had also thought her was because they knew he was a monster prior to, and this young girl is the polar opposite and there is no way she would have survived being near him let alone sleeping with him...so it had to be done before they reached the bedroom. He was such a sadist.

Ramsey is evil yes...cutting off body parts at a whim... the reason I loved Joffrey more was because of the interactions that it spawned from those around him.

My favourite character is Tyrion...he makes the show for me. I am afraid for him because Cersei was screaming to arrest him.

As for straying from the books, they will need to now. Just as Walking Dead does, it follows along but then diverts...that's important to allow for the best character development on screen.

I am not plot driven I am character driven so if the characters don't have depth I am done. That's why I love this show.

I will watch the show again. It was so lavish and there was so much going on at the wedding.

Did you know that "that old dowager" is played by Diana Rigg, most remembered for her role as Emma Peel in the original "Avengers" series ?

I'd recorded the episode and just finished watching it. It was awesome!!!!!!Even though I'd known what was going to happen thanks to facebook...it was still amazing.

Do you remember this evil character? He was wonderful too.

He was an annoying d-ck but I wouldn't call him evil. Selfish egomaniac - sure. If he had gotten the crown he wanted he would have been an awful King, fortunately he didn't get that chance. He didn't kill or torture anyone - not physically anyway. Yes, he made a lot of threats but none he could carry out. I felt bad for him in his last two scenes. The one where he tries to steal the dragon eggs and leave - then admitting that he was jealous because his sister was loved and no one gave him any of the affection that she got - not even family. Then in the next scene he dies a horrible death for being a loud mouthed d-ck who couldn't hold his liquor. Though I will give Drogo credit for being rather clever and witty by choosing that method. Im sure we all know at least one person who turns into a mean jerk when drunk. If he had been sober I don't think he would have done that. I guess thats one of the attractive things about the show, no one is a one dimensional caricature. They are all shades of grey, even those who are supposed to be villains.

I doubt the tv show will ever show this but in the books his sister does have to deal with his death and the type of person he was. No matter what he did he was still her brother and because of that he sort of haunts her dreams and thoughts every now and then.

It was alright. It was obvious they weren't going to top last week's episode and they didn't try to. This one seems to have been a bridge episode. Not much really happened though. There are so many stories going on they each got maybe 10 minutes, and they didn't even show all of them. It was nice to see "Littlefinger" return and more or less admit that he was part of the assassination plot.

There was one major deviation from the books in this episode. The sex scene in the tomb. What happened in the show was clearly rape - in the books it was rough but consensual. I wonder why they decided to go with that when they've been trying to rehabilitate Jaime in the eyes of the viewer for quite some time. Why make him a bad guy again? Yeah, his sister is an awful person too but no one deserves to be raped - particularly not in the presence of their dead son's body.

My favourite scene was the one in which Tywin talks to his grandson about what makes a good king - also in the presence of the dead one and their mother. It was nice that someone finally said what most of the characters knew - that Joffrey was a bad king. This new kid could be a hell of a lot better, though really anyone is an improvement over Joffrey. He was clearly trying to manipulate his grandson and he knows he will be far easier to handle than Joffrey but I don't really disagree with anything he said in that scene. It was a five minute crash course on Machiavelli.

Then there is Daenarys pulling another "Abraham Lincoln" on a slaver city. That is starting to get old. We are 4 seasons into a show and her story hasn't directly crossed anyone else's yet. Its like they are totally different shows. This is the third or fourth city she has taken. I did enjoy watching the rich slave owners getting nervous and looking over their shoulders at their slaves while she was giving her little speech about freeing them. I don't really have any sympathy for slave owners who get killed by their slaves whether it be fiction or non-fiction.

She asks him to kill Tyrion and begins to seduce him and then rejects him...it was a power play on her part but it back fired, or at least it "seemed to" she is so manipulative that she maybe wanting him to think he raped her...she knows him like no other knows him so perhaps she is using him in a way only she would know how...There was something about her hand, I don't know what the significance was, I just caught a glimpse of it and it was meantt to convey something but it didn't penetrate my brain.

Margaery is now twice widowed. Did she have a hand in the deaths of both of her husbands or none?

Having Joffrey present through much of the set up was excellent and I wonder if Tywin had a piece of it two or if he is just cashing in on the chance.

I too am tired of Daenarys... do something already...her piece last night was a yawn... and not realistic...they are wandering and traveling and yet all are fed and she looks as fresh as a daisy in her sexy little get up.

We shall see. So far I am still intrigued.

In the books it is her who initiates the incestuous relationship. She seduced him when they were in their mid teens to manipulate him into doing something else their father would hate - going the King's guard. Both in the books and show that relationship seems to be mostly a one way street, he cares about her but it isn't really reciprocated. Doesn't justify the rape though. I hadn't thought of the idea of her faking it to use it against him later. She is rather manipulative which makes it a possibility. That would explain why the writers changed it into a rape scene. Just having it without a follow up of some sort wouldn't make much sense.

Tyrian is easily my favourite character. Even though he has been in a cell since the last episode and hasn't been allowed to see anyone he has managed to put together a lot of the pieces that the other characters haven't been able to do. The trial should be interesting, and its aftermath. Particularly with his father being one of the judges and jurors. Its kind of odd that his father hates him given he is the most intelligent and most resourceful of his children. The other two think they are smart, but they aren't compared to Tyrian and Tywin.

As for Margery killing her husbands - no. First one was killed by that shadow demon thing sent by her husband's brother's witch friend. Second one, no, but her grandmother on the other hand… If she were to be involved with Joffrey's death the smart thing to do would be to at least wait til the marriage is consummated. That way she could get rid of him and remain Queen. Now she is back to square one. Even so if I were the next guy she set her sights on I'd start running. Things don't end well for people involved with her.

I think Tywin is just cashing in on it. As "Hand of the King" it does look awful for the King to die on his watch, particularly when that King is a close relative. He isn't very sentimental and doesn't mind what happened. Knocking off Joffrey oddly was doing Tywin and his family a huge favour. Joffrey was too unpredictable and uncontrollable. It is odd that they are going to try Tyrian. No one is going to miss Joffrey other than his mother. Even his biological father does not seem too bothered by the death. He himself killed a King who had it coming and got off too - so why not Tyrian or the real assassins?

He is also the George Martin's favourite character. I don't know if that will save him in the long run but I think it improves his chances compared to those of the other characters. The guys who are in charge of the show have been told "in broad terms" how the story is going to end in the books in case the show catches up to where the books are before the author finishes the story. HBO renewed them for another 2 seasons and by then at the latest they will have caught up to Martin. If he doesn't put out the next book between now and then the writers will have to do it on their own or put the show on hold. I don't know which I'd prefer.
