Is Quebec sovereignty on the rise?

First of all the PQ and the Block are two different animals, there are many who
are federalists, and slightly left of center and they will support the PQ in full
federal election they will not support the Block. the Bloc is supported by the
die hard separatists. PQ does not mean you are separatist, it means you don't
like the provincial Liberals or Tories.
It is really a play on words, Separatists yes, but not necessarily separatists. Just
like the WWII proclamation. Conscription yes, but not necessarily conscription.
Call it an enigma but it is the way it is in Quebec. You can bet the NDP federalists
will not support the the provincial liberals after all their leader is a former Tory
cabinet minister.
Are they separatist? No they are just not going to support the present regime and
the PQ is the only serious opposition.

I can't say I agree with you. The PQ was created specifically for Quebec's sovereignty. It is still their main mission. Every decision they will take will be towards this ultimate goal. You can't vote PQ and not be a sovereignist in my opinion. Or you contradict yourself.

We must simply disagree, you can vote PQ and still be a federalist.
You are right the PQ started out with one goal in mind however in
the past decades it has come to be simply the main opposition, and
in fact many are separatists but a whole lot more are not.
I have some relatives that live there they vote PQ provincially and in
turn vote liberal or NDP federally. They don't have a separatist vent
they just don't have a left of center alternative provincially.

I think that if they're federalists it would be more logical if they would vote liberal or simply cancel their votes. They could tell themselves: ok, there's no good federalist party right now in the province so I cancel.

Quebec sovereignty?
lol Periodically some goof or group of goofs starts waving the fleur-de-lis and as far as I can remember the majority of Kebekers eventually render the effort mum.

More or less. The actual official opposition is a sovereignist party so it's a little more complicated than that, unfortunately.

Quebec sovereignty will be an everlasting goal eversince our beloved Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper identified Quebec as a nation within a nation in the House Of Commons. Being bright is not one of the Conservative strong points.

What would you like him to identify them as? Antelopes? They meet the standard, both legally and morally.

Yeah, so? Being honest isn't exactly high in Liberal principles either. What do you expect from politicians?

With a Conservative government as a majority the Liberals are looking more honest and by the time the next federal election is called the the Liberal Party of Canada will look like Saints

Even the ones that don't consider themselves as such?

Even those
