One intelligent post follows another from the uniformed I see.

Would you appreciate it if someone posted a document from your family's history to make a nitwitted point such as this? I'm guessing you got it from the National Archive, but why you would use it in this fashion is beyond me.

The taliban could have figured out how to switch the afghans away from poppy growing to
something else, so that they would have had some sort of livlihood for their families,
without the poppies, they had nothing, and no help from the taliban. Left to starve,
and under the taliban, many men, (heads of households) were murdured, and women and
children were left without anything, and at the mercy of the taliban.

I didn't say the link was bad. I asked you if you read it.

Here's quote from the link:

"But Amir Attaran, Malgarai's lawyer,"

I read it, and like I said, he's a llawyer. So, like, I wonder, can you read?

I was thinking about the link that Canada is now tainted with obscene war crimes in a medieval country. War crimes are an inevitability in that kind of place. But luckily, few in the world care. Support the troops there? Yuck. Get out!

Let's see now, Cherry is supposed to STFU and stick to his job. I was going to suggest you do the same thing.

Go on suggesting.

Some people like yourself like Cherry because he is talking politics at work. Most of us don't do just don't do that. So he gets pent up support. He appears very sincere and who doesn't like that? He's pro-troops, pro-Canada and where's the harm? A little bit is okay, when he goes on and on, then you have to wonder what his agenda is. He'll never explain, so I want him to stop and stick to what he knows, and he doesn't know that much about hockey even. But he's got enthusiasm for a geezer. I think he's taken a few head shots lately.

here it is numbnuts, from your original OP

Now, whre have I said I liked Cherry.

1. It's not an exact quote
2. I modified it later on. A little is okay, too much is a problem. Cherry creates a strong reaction.
3. Why is your world so black and white? Mr One-line-at-a-time. You must be a programmer or something.
4. Words require enterpretation, I took your rude STFU insult as support for Cherry. Whether you "like" him or not, STFU.

No, I don't like the blowhard, but I support his right to voice his opinions. Unlike you who would like to see him get fired. YOUR EXACT WORDS.

You don't like him but you like him expressing his opinions. So we have found Voltaire, sort of. You support the "right," I go beyond that, and that bothers you. You must be an esl student because you like to take words very literally.

And to be more exact I want him fired if he continues to deviate from hockey talk and he can even use war words while talking about HOCKEY. Just like I would expect a newspaper sports columnist to be replaced if he suddenly started writing about Africa and not sports. If somebody wants to change careers, then let him. Some people can change their job descriptions and the boss is powerless, Cherry is in that lucky crowd. Hates those left wing pinkos but takes advantage of the left wing pinkos at the CBC. Ya gotta love it.

Reminds me of the joke, "Why does a dog lick his balls? 'Cause he can."

Boy, must be Don's biggest supporter here.
No, I'm just a huge fan of free speech.

Toss the bum if he continues to use his pedestal to support war and imperialism.
Funny, he supports the Troops, and the job they're doing in Afghanistan, not necessarily the war. And you think he should be fired?

Of course supporting a war in another country can be okay, doesn't really bother us much. Nice.
Actually, I do not support the war in Afghanistan.

Don can have plenty of free speech talking about hockey all he wants.
The CBC obviously has no issue with it, he's still there.

If he and you were people who support free speech, then you would support the idea that Don should go on political shows to discuss his views.
I do and he does.

Other news shows would love him as their ratings would shoot up. Don would never do this because I think he is unable to have a discussion where he is not dominating.
He does radio spots all the time.

With Don shouting "support the troops," it indirectly means "support the troops or else." And or else to Don means you are not being Canadian because these are good Canadian boys. Those are fighting words to me.
Of course they are, because you made them that way. I can make "F!ck for peace" fighting words to, if I make up some fictitious indirect "or else" to go with it.

Otherwise why is Don shouting?-
He's always shouting!

this is the foaming at the mouth part.
You would be an expert.

He's totally committed to the troops, good for him, but they are a waste of money there.
I agree, but that doesn't mean I will stop supporting THEM.

The UN mandate was to throw out the Taliban from governing Afghanistan, that was done by the end of 2001, as a result, so are the Canadian armed forces are done too.
I agree.

Some people like yourself like Cherry because he is talking politics at work.
Actually, I like Cherry because he's a diehard Canadian, he promotes our National pastime, he supports my Brothers, he founded Rose Cherry's House, and promotes Wounded Warriors, the only two charities I give to, and not because of him, but because of who they help and their administration is slim, meaning the bulk of the money actually gets to the people the charity is for.

A little bit is okay, when he goes on and on, then you have to wonder what his agenda is.
I don't wonder what his agenda is, I know what his agenda is, promote hockey, and support the men and women of the CANADIAN Armed Forces. It's rather simple really.

He'll never explain...
Explain what? I've heard him defend his position numerous times on the radio. He's stated quite clearly that he has no issue with people that do or do not support the war in Afghanistan, but our Troops are good Canadian kids, doing what is expected of them. Thus deserving our support.

...so I want him to stop and stick to what he knows, and he doesn't know that much about hockey even. But he's got enthusiasm for a geezer. I think he's taken a few head shots lately.
Ahhh, so now we get to the meat of the matter, you don't like Cherry, so it's not really his opinions that irk you, it's him. How else can you honestly say he doesn't know much about hockey? The man lives hockey.

You don't like him but you like him expressing his opinions.
That's the beauty of free speech, you should try it sometime.

So we have found Voltaire, sort of.
Voltaire never said what you're implying.

You support the "right," I go beyond that, and that bothers you.
You don't go beyond that, you contradict it, completely.

You must be an esl student because you like to take words very literally.
Actually, would you be the esl student, since it's your exact words, words you repeated, a sentiment you have reiterated repeatedly in a few ways, making it obviously clear to anyone reading your posts. That you want him to shut up or be fired.

Maybe it's written in his contract, that he given a certain amount of air time, to say his piece? Maybe the CBC agrees with his points about supporting our Troops?

Maybe, and this is a big maybe, given I'm about to say it about the CBC, maybe they actually get free speech?

Reminds me of the joke, "Why does a dog lick his balls? 'Cause he can."
An excellent analogy of why you post.

The reason I asked if you actually read the article is because the Military Police have exonerated the so called war criminals of any wrong doing. Now I know you and Mr. Amir will cry that they are are military too and that this is just a whitewash and yadda yadda industrial complex yadda yadda, but that is because you have never served and lack understanding.

The military police are a stand alone organization, they have no friends among the general ranks and will lay charges where they are warranted. That is their job and love em or hate em they do it.

Cherry is paid by one of the farthest left organizations in broadcasting, they haven't puilled the plug on him because he draws ratings. Turning the channel is an easy way to tune out his rhetoric, whining only draws more attention to yourself as a whiner and builds his ratings.

Perhaps you should stick with your Dump the Monarchy Campaign and save us a ton of dough. Or not.
