Canada Deports US Deserter on Feb 4

Looks like Canada sent another one back to us. We thank you!

Cornell left the Army four years ago for British Columbia Canada.

Hopefully the rest of them will see the writing on the wall and come back on their own.

Now why would they come back on their own? That's money out of their pockets.... if deported, isn't it all sorta paid for?

I suppose Canada pays for the bus ticket to the border and just hands them over. Also by being deported I think they give up that last bit of leverage. If they can get a lawyer to start working on a deal for the deserter that he will give himself up on his own and not get a Dishonorable Discharge when he returns. However I am not sure how that would go off either. I doubt they have much of a chance either way.
