If I were living in the states, I may have been planning on voting Democrat. That is, until watching them cannibalize one another in their presidential primaries. What a ridiculous display, and they haven't even made it to the actual elections yet. I don't understand this. How does party cannibalism garner them any support when it comes time to actually decide who runs the country? McCain can essentially sit back and watch and smile as they devour one another and leave him with nothing but a ravaged corpse to run against. Handy.

Well the Republidicks don't have two worthy candidates so they can't do this. If they had a chance this time they'd have someone else bucking McCain.

P.S. My spell check knew I meant Republicans. LOL.

Obama and Clinten are both worthy candidates, and the people seem to like both of
them, so that is why the campaign is going so long, it was thought at first that hilliary
would have this wrapped up in no time, but obama has gathered lots of support, so
LET the people vote, this is democracy working.

The media makes it look like a circus, as they can't operate on mature campaining, which
stick to the issues, that is boring for them, they operate on trash and garbage, and it is
garbage that they dream up. When real issues are discussed they don't talk much about it
at all, but they dig as deep as they can, and blow up little issues and make them the focus
of the campaign, and the sad part of that is that, the people get 'sucked' in.

Rev. Wright is loving this, cause he got to go on national television and advertise his book, now he will make millions from it, thanks to the media.

The republicans had poor candidates, with the exception of huckeby, but too much
religion there i'm afraid, so mcCain is stuck wandering around trying to keep the
attention of the media, even though he has nothing to do but keep on talking about the
war.

I still think that whoever is nominated will only acheivce a pirical victory. By the time they are done character assassinating each other and burning up badly needed funds to help with the real campaign that all that has been acomplished to date is four feet full of bullet holes and no doctor available in the Democratic house. Part of their big problem is Howard Dean who is a General with no Army to Command and no sense of direction.

Hillary's problem is.....well, she's Hillary.

Obama supports partial birth abortion and is connected with Jeremiah Wright, who is talking like a looney......although I was quite impressed with the way Obama refuted his past connection with Wright.....the man can speak, and he has charisma....no doubt. That makes him a great candidate, it doesn't necessarily make him a great president.

As for Wright, if Obama wins....what will he have to rant about? How America is racist? The guy is cutting Obama's throat.........

John McCain the man.

Hey Colpy, is there a preacher who isn't loonie?

More than anything the US needs someone who commands respect when he speaks. The art of being a good President is selling others on ideas. I can visualize him standing at the podium in the UN and convincing people to follow. That's a complete 360 from the cowboy in charge right now.

"is there a preacher who isn't loonie?"

McLame's preacher friend Haggee is the most virulently anti-Catholic bigot in the USA. But that never caused a problem for the right wing media and the Democrats stupidly refuse to make an issue of it.

Don't be too surprised if McLame wins in November because the Dumbocrats are f*cking up the campaign as they have done since 2000 and 2004.

obama is 'one' of 8000 parishoners at the church where rev. wright (now retired) used to
preach. He is not a mentor of obama, as the other candidates like to spout, and what
rev. wright does has nothing to do with the 'fine president' obama will become.
The media and the opponents are the ones who want to keep these silly stories alive.

Obama's wife Michelle had a lengthy interview last night on CNN, she is a fine woman, very
well spoken, and will make a very classy and valuable first lady, the interviewer tried and tried to drag Rev. Wright right into the middle of the interview, but she very intelligently
puther off, and said they are moving on, and are finished talking about that subject.
Good for her, it gets so tiring, those media people have no pride in themselves at all, they
nag and dig and keep coming back to the trivia, and trash, as they really have no interest
in the 'real' reason that any of these candidates should be president or not, just the
gossip.

tallolla,
Astute observation. Wright isn't a candidate for anything. And he isn't the first man of the cloth to speak this way either. Michelle Obama is very much a woman who is gifted with a quick mind, well spoken and really puts the other candidate's mate to shame. Hill and Bill are a pair of losers and I sure hope that Obama hangs in there. Of the two he would make to better opponent against any Republican and don't forget McCain isn't the nomineee yet. Both Conventions have to select their representatives later this summer.

McCain is a revisitation of McBush. It may appear that he's bothered a number of his republican brotherhood with nearly anti-McBush rhetoric criticizing Whitehouse policy on this item or that, but he's when is all said and done a Republican though to the bone and happy to continue the policy of "screw the poor...Rome was built by the wealthy and the strong"...

Obama and Billary are children who've never developed their own personalities. Both are elitist while thumbing their nose at the opposite for this very thing and both are puppets to the corporate identity of the u.s. Neither has clearly outlined their policy positions but simply parroted what an electorate disenchanted-with and tired-of continuing failed policies by the American government want to hear. "You're broke or nearly so ...so vote for me and I'll put dollars back in your pocket! "You can't afford your mortgage or your health care...vote for me I'll put dollars back in your pocket! "You're tired of the war in Iraq and watching as billions are poured into a highly dubiously initiated "war"...vote for me...I'll put dollars back in your pocket!

Nothing changes.

I heard McCain misspoke yesterday by telling the truth, that he wants an energy policy that will make the West less reliant on the ME and thus not having to start wars over there "for oil". Of course his spinmeisters hit the screens to proclaim it a cranial cramp.

I'd seen an interview with McCain where he hacked pretty damn hard on Republican policy, and on Bush specifically, about 2 years ago. I was shocked he made it in as a candidate, because he really didn't seem like much of a party man. He seemed like a country man, who was most similar to Republicans. It will be interesting to see what he does if he wins.

I don't think Americans are dumb enough to elect Bush and his gang of morons to a 3rd term. At least I hope not.
