The comment became public knowledge on Monday after supermodel Emily Ratajkowski stated that she heard what was said and was outraged over it.

A New York Times reporter has been reprimanded by the paper for a comment made about first lady Melania Trump.

The reporter made the comment on Sunday during a New York Fashion Week event. The newspaper did not identify the name of the staffer.

"At a party last night, a Times reporter who does not cover Washington or politics, referred to an unfounded rumor regarding Melania Trump,” the newspaper said in a statement. “The comment was not intended to be public, but it was nonetheless completely inappropriate and should not have occurred. Editors have talked to the reporter in question about the lapse.”

The comment became public knowledge on Monday after supermodel Emily Ratajkowski said on social media she heard what was said and was outraged over it.

"Sat next to a journalist from the NYT last night who told me 'Melania is a hooker,'" Ratajkowski tweeted. "Whatever your politics it's crucial to call this out for what it is: **** shaming. I don't care about her nudes or sexual history and no one should."

The Trumps are suing The Daily Mail over a story which claimed she had once been an escort.

"Concubine" is a bit more fitting and the hillbillies who elected him don't know what it means, anyway.

A hooker would imply she's independent of trump. She's not.

They should make him say what price he would offer her and the can bot him and the editors that didn't fire him. I wonder how many of those men can speak 5 languages?

I don't morally approve of fornication in the least; but at the same time, I believe that to accuse anyone of that without proof to back it up qualifies as defamation of character, not an accusation that should be made lightly against any person. People can suspect all they want, and that's their business, but no one needs to be accused of it unless the proof is clear. And even when it is, let the authorities deal with it if it accompanies any criminal act. It's not up to us to judge.

He meant looker. H & L are pretty close together on a keyboard so it is easy to see how a journalist that doesn't believe in truth could get them mixed up.
