Jade Haney on blatant indoctrination and replacing facts with pretentious guilt:
Jack Flotte, a member of Regis University's Social Justice and Spirituality Committee, opened the session by scolding his white peers and professors on their state of "white fragility," saying, "Like it or not, we are already accomplices. The question becomes: to what end are we partners in the crime of continuing to perpetuate these systems that dehumanise and oppress people?" Flotte also advised white students and faculty to "spend less time being upset about accusations that you're complicit and that white people are bad and spend more time being mad at the racism and suffering," adding, "Stop changing the subject when race does come into a conversation. Not that you understand this concept of white fragility. You're going to be made uncomfortable as white folks when the conversation of race comes up. But, just get over it and then channel that energy. Channel that guilt into activism."

Alternative facts sure are popular on campus these days.

What a wonderful way to heal racial division! Keep bringing it up at every opportunity. Whether you're one color or the other, keep demeaning the different race. Keep feeling sorry for yourselves because you were born to be as you are.
Yeah, that the way to go for sure.
Don't celebrate what you are; instead defend it.
Don't respect other races as equal human beings; berate them for their accomplishments because they make them look good.
Don't work toward your own success because it's easier to blame others for keeping you down.
Yes, definitely the way to go!

It works because the distraction takes your eyes off the 'marble'. The cure is to be able to spot a distraction for what it is, any option that is away from the known facts as when that gets looked at in detail, and be able to ignore it or make fun of it, a task that easy as the argument is usually pretty poorly thought out.

The race card to protect the wealth card. The greed of the perpetually power hungry is the problem and driving force in our world.
Perhaps that is the distraction because of the horror factor. It also keeps us distracted to the criminality that goes on in the most civilized parts of the world that is a hidden contributor to the hunger problem because the funds needed are spent on other things, like wars where treasure and wealth go hand in hand, and the fewer people that have most of it the better.
