Can nobody understand that when people have conflicting views it leads to compromise? If you have total agreement on an issue you get the same old same old over again all the time. Those with conflicting opinions are left out in the cold. That leads to division. .
Compromise, which will be necessary when someone like Pruitt negotiates with the EPA. will lead to better unity and understanding, each side of the concerns of the other.
What's wrong with that?

Let's start rollin' out the pipelines! Yeah!

Oh yeah!
The environmentalists didn't want us cutting trees. They didn't want us using coal. Now they want to stop us from using oil and gas. How are we supposed to heat our homes, run our vehicles, generate electricity?
Environmentalists don't think ahead to the impact their rules and regulations will have, sometimes more harmful than what we are now doing.
I remember when the farmers in Manitoba had to stop burning off the stubble from their fields. Too smoky, you see! So they had to plow it under. With tractors. Tractors that use gasoline. Worse for the environment than smoke.
Now the environmentalists want us to drive battery powered or electric cars. Is the manufacture and disposal of batteries any less polluting that gas engines? How about the generation of electricity to run the cars?

Canada's total carbon emissions amount to around 1.58%. Our nearest neighbor, the United States has a carbon output of approximately 14.95%. So, if we go ahead and impose a carbon tax to help clean up our air what in the hell is going to keep all those emissions from the US drifting across our border???? We will never have clean air - it is a fantasy of the ecofreaks.

We don't live in a bubble or a dome. Our air comes from all over the world and carries with it all those nasty emissions from other countries. There isn't a damn thing we can do to change that - thus the idea that by imposing a carbon tax will clean up the air is duplicitous in the extreme.

Plus we have been cleaning up the air for the last 50 years . Remember everyone used to burn wood or coal in their fire places . Our gas had lead and sulphur . Remember the smog . Our air is cleaner now then it has been ever in my life .

It's about time a guy like Pruitt is in charge of the EPA. Seeing the ecotards cry about his appointment is encouraging.
