OK,

1. Who cares? "Intent to demean" has NEVER been part of equal protection analysis.

2. Yes, these states seek to demean gay people. Just like states that passed anti-miscegenation laws sought to demean black people. What part of "passing a law explicitly excluding a group from the rights and privileges enjoyed by others is seeking to demean that group" is so hard to get?

You can call cow a horse but it is still a cow. A marriage is between a man and a woman. If the homosexuals want to call their union a marriage let them, it's still not a marriage.

The Supreme Court isn't a legislature. It doesn't pass laws.

Of course it's meant to demean. Just like the thunder from the pulpits is intended to demean. Just like suggesting someone is gay as an insult is meant to demean. Just like hints that a person is gay are intended to plant the seed that that person is unfit for public office, or to be a teacher, or to serve in the military. All such laws and customs are intended to support the notion that gays don't deserve the same rights and privileges as straights. Which is what "demean" means.

It's like some form a mass insanity has gripped the West.. in contradiction of all nature and reason.. not to mention God and Creation. It seems that all this, as a part of the Culture of Death, and a mad impulse to degeneration and extinction of our civilization.. will have to fail catastrophically to bring some sense back to human society.. likely out of its shambles and ruins. When will that begin, coldstream? All the people who argued that gay marriage will destroy traditional marriage have been shown to be completely wrong, so. . .

always nice to read your sence. People should understand the meaning of the word dis ease. Gays live in a state of disease, meaning they are uncomfortable with their imperfections. No ammount of law can help them, in my opinion. Why can't they just shack up and shutup. They are just being used by the zionist crime syndicate as wedges to drive in between the normal people like me. We are tired of it. The LBGTQ circus freaks cannot be allowed to move, mold, pilot the whole of the human race anymore than jesus freaks.
