Interesting roundup of some of the more psychotic conduct of police, prosecutors, judges, legislators, and wannabes of those offices, in 2014. Just in case you thought innocence or being a law-abiding citizen makes you safe.

Horrifying civil liberties predictions for 2015 - The Washington Post

Boomer, feel free to whine about how this is a Canadian board and a thread about the States in a forum titled "US-American Politics" offends you.

We have seen the governments laws encroaching for decades ever since prohibition
Every time people demand more protection in the form of legislation the noose around
our necks gets tighter The advancement of new laws is not the answer the enforcement
of the laws we have would be sufficient. There is also a tipping point and we are nearly
there where making laws is pointless because there are so many the laws on the books
can't be enforced. Ranting about the volume and substance is not the answer either
participating in society to do something is where it starts. Oh if you do that you will be
labelled an activist by the people complaining about the law and in turn they will demand
to be taken off the street
