CABAZON – Among the windmills and creosote bushes of San Gorgonio Pass, a nondescript beige building stands flanked by water tanks. A sign at the entrance displays the logo of Arrowhead 100% Mountain Spring Water, with water flowing from a snowy mountain. Semi-trucks rumble in and out through the gates, carrying load after load of bottled water.

The plant, located on the Morongo Band of Mission Indians' reservation, has been drawing water from wells alongside a spring in Millard Canyon for more than a decade. But as California's drought deepens, some people in the area question how much water the plant is bottling and whether it's right to sell water for profit in a desert region where springs are rare and underground aquifers have been declining.
California is thirsty! That's just crazy, but considering the craziness in California, I guess this is on par.

Ain't just California. Ever seen Fiji water, in the cool square bottle? Half the population of Fiji don't have safe drinking water.

Nestle...yes such bastions of corporate morality

In the third world they convinced mum's that they should bottle feed their babies Nestle formula. What they did not think through was, formula needs clean water and baby bottles need sterilizing. There was no clean water.

oops...now your milk is dry and the babies are dying...oops

it's not like it hit the news so, no biggy

They'd also save a ton on party clothing because no one would invite them anywhere.

Instead of making crappy movies they should be building desalination plants and returning the water to the land, dumb State.

The smartest move would be to apply some form of taxation on the anti-oilsands, anti-pipeline (Canada only) and anti-resource crowd.

They'd make a crap-ton of cash overnight
