A Texas teen has been sworn in as mayor of Archer City, a small municipality that only had the high school student throw his hat in the ring in the latest mayoral race.
Kelvin Cletus Green, 18, took office Friday after an official swearing-in ceremony.
"It's a good feeling," Green said according to Townhall.com, "gives you something good to wake up about in the morning."
Green's first challenge will be a drought that is expected to hit the area.
According to the 2010 census Archer City, 40 kilometres south of Witchita Falls, Tex., has a population of 1,834 in an area of 5.7 square kilometres.

Good for him. In TX there is low unemployment so probably any adult that would qualify for the mayor's job has a job that pays more.
