Homeland Security remember when it was real popular set up by Bush
to protect Americans from the world and themselves? Now that it is
Obama's homeland security it is a terrible thing. The problem is Americans
are becoming more and more like Canadians they bitch about everything
and try to pin the blame on someone other than themselves.
The time to rise up against Homeland Security was when the Bush Administration
opened it for business. Homeland Security was alright when the target was
someone else now its an equal opportunity search and seizure organization so its
now Obamas fault. Once a monster program is released its becomes a creature
of its own.

Homeland Security was OK under Bush?

Americans for the most part didn't say too much when Bush first
brought it in. Afterall it was being used to intercept Middle East
trouble makers and to spy on that community. Once Obama
came to power and the the agency continued and expanded their
efforts to include other groups and possible troublemakers it is
now a terrible thing. It was a bad piece of legislation from the
start. Once these agencies get astablished they have a life of their
own, regardless of who is in power. This group is probably not
even accountable to themselves let alone the President
Oh I know they talk about safeguards that is theoriy only in real life
its ignored.

Sure when you let it become a monster. So because it was created under the Bush administration it is OK for them to run wild.

Hope and change is a slogan like the Trudeau Just Society it means nothing
no matter who says it. No the Bush Administration enacted it to make them
look like they were doing something. Obama is not going to dismantle it.
Why because the same critical people who a ticked cause he kept it would
be screaming he was soft on terrorists. No matter who starts it, it will continue
to grow and prosper. The old saying is be careful of what you wish for.
People wanted to be protected from their own fear and for a while this was a
solution. Now they are afraid of it. Has nothing to do with Obama, he just
kept it around. Fear is what America is all about now. And for good reason
there are a whole lot of crazy people, namely tea party people who would
really destroy that country without the Taliban firing a shot.
Obama this and Obama that, people should understand in America three
people screwed things up Reagan, Bush and yes Bill Clinton. Obama
inherited their mess and he has made his own mistakes but nothing like those
three.

The head of the NSA, general Keith Alexander (shown below), wants the media muzzled, gagged, forbidden to report anything about him and his rancid outfit. He's not just talking about American journalists either.

"I think it's wrong that newspaper reporters have all these documents, the 50,000 - whatever they have and are selling them and giving them out.. We ought to come up with a way of stopping it."
No, general, it's you and your agency that need stopping, reining in. There's not enough breathing room in America for democracy and the NSA. One or the other has to go.
