Again let us try to unravel the situation. People don't care because, the
new voters are from minority classes. It is becoming the norm for the
coloured folks now vote in droves. They are clustered in heavy urban
areas where they have impact.
Those who are the very conservative are non minorities, they live in rural
areas where representation is more sparse.
When you think about it we in Canada are lucky, our citizens are not so
desperate that we feel we have to swim across rivers in the dead of night to
have a life.
Yes she is illegal, she is living off the benefits designed for Americans and
something should be done, but what? If you are going to deport her it would
mean deporting 14 million people or more, they would call it ethnic cleansing
and the images would damage America forever.
On the other hand would it not be better to allow them the path to citizenship?
