- Anyone who even occasionally reads this board or other boards on political developments and issues will certainly not be surprised to learn that the liberals are generally much more lightweight than are the conservatives when it comes to having an adequate education and a decent knowledge and rational take concerning political matters.

- What might be somewhat surprising (and is arguably one of Obama's many unfortunate legacies) is that the education and knowledge gap favouring conservatives over liberals appears to actually be increasing in the last few years.

- Or, as I presciently posted a few days ago, Romney has the Mormons but Obama has the morons.

My security software blocks that site, reports it as a malicious URL. Anybody who got there successfully, I'd suggest you check your system for malware.

I'd say they are pretty much 50/50 Libs and Cons. We'll find out how clever Romney is come election day! Actually he may have blown it tonight already. To give the Devil his due, Trudeau (a Liberal I believe) was considered to be intellectual! Mulroney is a moron.

Oh you mean compared to your baseless claims, lies and exaggerations that avoid facts.... and then your personal insults towards those who don't agree with your BS??

Yeah I guess that's educated and rational.

With Conservatives believing in Creationism, wanting it taught in schools, cutting funding to education programs, thinking the US was built on Christian values, still believe Saddam had something to do with 9/11, that Obama is a Muslim & all those Birther's & Bush was a good President.... and a slew of other ignorant ideas & beliefs.... yup, you're right about that education gap.

To start with the degree titles usually include the words "Liberal Arts"
Those on the left traditionally seen as having a well rounded education.
Those on the right do have a high level of education in some quarters.
The problem is when you break it down, and the old adage comes
back Do not Generalize. There are as many right wing people who
are well educated, as there are on the left.
To make a serious attempt to actually determine that is by looking at
economics, business classifications, those involved in community
and so on.
The fact is we could all use more education and we learn new things
everyday whether we like it or not.

Yeah, right. Bush and Romney come across as so much more profound than Obama.

Is that why Obama's critics maintained he was an intellectual elitist?

I guess bush jr was a closet liberal....right?

Where he should have remained.

I never figured out how it is that people that spent most of their lives in school are somehow "intellectual" I've run into a good many of them that are stump stupid. Most of them don't even know how to hold a hammer properly. While those that graduated with honors from the school of hard knocks are somehow considered not too bright?

Yep, worked with lots like that, "intellectually" sharp, socially, blunt as a bag of bludgeons!

Yep, like "they" have 4 years being U.S. President under their belts!:lol::lol:

You mean 4 years of failure, economic collapse and ineffectiveness.

Lemme ask you, would you seek to have a brain surgeon with a 4 year track record of killing his patients do the delicate work on your surgery?

How do you define conservative or liberal? I generally think along conservative lines but am repulsed by the Republicans. Looking at the choices this year, it makes me very happy to be Canadian.
