'Everyone Wins'

The federal government has been making the case that, with food stamps, "everyone wins," according to literature meant to promote the federal social welfare program. The argument is that accepting food stamp benefits helps to promote economic growth for the communities hosting those recipients.

"Each $5 dollars in new SNAP benefits generates almost twice that amount in economic activity for the community," states the federal government pamphlet. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is the official name of the food stamps program.

"Everyone wins when eligible people take advantage of benefits to which they are entitled," states the pamphlet, which is written and distributed by the United States Department of Agriculture, the federal entity responsible for the program.

Food Stamp redemption's at Stater Bros. Markets in southern California went up 160% in the past four years. And it is going to go up even more.

Sick: Obama and his minions promote dependency on government using taxpayer dollars and pop culture

Because that's what this president does. As you may know, the Obama administration has spent millions promoting the benefits and availability of food stamps.

The Spanish-language radio ads composed a 10-part miniseries called "Hope Park." In it, the characters were shown persistently trying to convince a character named "Diana" to go on food stamps -- known these days as SNAP, or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program -- even though her husband works and she doesn't think she needs it.

"I don't need help from anyone," Diana says in Episode 4. "My husband makes enough to take care of us."

But her friends are persistent, and by Episode 10 Diana is enrolled and singing the program's praises.

The ads drew criticism at a time when one in seven are already enrolled.

The food stamp rolls have swelled since the recession, growing roughly 40 percent since 2009. As of April, more than 46 million people were in the program, which costs $80 billion a year.

A more cynical blogger would claim that Obama is attempting to buy votes using taxpayer funds.

There's no doubt, though, that his efforts strengthen a nefarious culture of dependency symbolized by rap videos like this one (yep: language warning).

I ask you patriotic Democrats -- you Reagan Democrats -- who refuse to succumb to the crazy: do you think any country can survive this? I mean the trillions in deficit-spending each year? Promoting illegal immigration and vote fraud? Government consuming 30 to 40 percent of all goods and services produced each year? Endless regulations and federal edicts? Nationalized auto companies and health insurers?

Any sane person knows how this will end. We're seeing it happen in Europe. It's called an economic implosion.

You need to join us, friends. You must help us save this country by electing candidates who will honor the oath they take to protect and uphold the Constitution.

Because our children and grandchildren -- your children and grandchildren -- are counting on us.

It may not be illegal to outsource, but it should be................

Employees of Bain's Sensata Technologies Ask Romney to Stop the Outsourcing of Their Jobs to China

The employees—who manufacture sensors that are sold to auto manufactures—were told in early 2011 that the plant would be closing in December 2012.

They are currently training their Chinese replacements, who have been flown in by Bain to the Illinois plant. “This just adds insult to injury,” said Cheryl Randecker, a Sensata employee.

“They’re going to be here three months and they’re not going to leave knowing everything they need to know.”

58 employees of the Sensata Technologies in Freeport Illinois sent Mitt Romney a signed letter, excerpted below.

We work at Sensata Technologies in Freeport, Illinois — a company owned by Bain Capital.

Our jobs are about to be outsourced to China. More than 150 of us will lose our jobs — and some of us have worked here for over 40 years. The worst indignity is that many of us are being asked to train the Chinese workers who are taking our jobs.

It’s not right that our good American jobs are being sent to China. It’s not right that you stand to get even richer off of our loss and pain.

We are not going down without a fight. We join together today to call on you to save our jobs.

Heck, lets have the government confiscate everything, and dole out what we all need. By their calculations, we should all be millionaires in a few years.

Of course, the price of a loaf of bread would be about 90 thousand dollars, but what the hey, it would be Nirvana for all, right?

Interestingly, food stamps have been around since the Great Depression which was caused by a Republican, and the program has been kept around despite all the Republican presidents we've had. Of course, it as Republican Nixon who first called himself a Keynesian economist and his policies were expanded by Reagan, Bush I, and Bush II. In fact, it was the latter who reversed Clinton's surplus.

Will the USA survive this? Europe has had it just as long if not longer.

Is a deficit necessary? No it is not. See my previous posts on this subject:
