Windows Live Messanger

Am still using WLM but now they want me to change to Skype. I don't really feel like it. I am looking for a messanger service that we can send messages containing attachements (videos) back and forth. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I don't use it myself but some people like it......I prefer uploading the video to you tube then sending a private link.
