I'm from Spain. In september I'll come to Victoira ,my company have a very important project in this city, and i'm being part of the team.
My english isn't very good. Now i'm doing an intensive course and my teacher says that will be more advisable to entry in one forum to practice english, and i'm here.
First, i'd like some recomendation about a neighborhood for to live, near Victoria center, also, i'd like to know the price by rental appartament with one or two rooms for a long time, aprox one year.

My question is is there anyone that has recently moved into the Vancouver or LMD area (from abroad or from within BC) that could comment on the current status of real estate and neighbourhoods that would be desireable for a middle class income family?

I'm aware that moving from Alberta to the Lower Mainland will of course mean a significant cost of living hit. I'm prepared to take the hit for a change of scenery. I love big cities and the mayhem that comes with them. Yes traffic sucks. Just thought I'd let you all know that I found out Cold Driven (awesome Canadian rock band) is going to be performing Moe Joe's (Whistler) on Saturday. I have heard that they put on a really awesome live show...so if anybody checks them out, please let me know what you thought of them! I'm hoping they'll come out to Ontario soon so I can check them out for myself.
