I bought a chocolate bar today. Dark chocolate and ginger. I was drooling thinking about it. I've had so many delicious ginger chocolate combos from other companies, and this company, Green and Black's, 'looked' like a good one. A nice wrapped, $3 a bar, organic chocolate I thought it would be a sure thing. It tasted downright rancid. I was ticked. PMS'y me, and no edible chocolate (that should tell you how bad it was).

So I actually went to the trouble of firing off a complaint to the company. Do you do this? Do you complain when you feel you've been cheated or ripped off?

The excellent French documentary titled "The World According to Monsanto - A documentary that Americans won't ever see," is evidently living up to its name. When I first became aware of this movie, I immediately watched it, then placed it on my websites. Today I checked the link, and found that the video is gone. In fact, when I typed the title "The World According to Monsanto" into the Google search engine, I couldn't find the full video anywhere.
This is a call for action. If you find this video anywhere on the Internet, please let me know. If you haven't seen it, you need to. If you have seen it, you know what a powerful video it is for exposing the corruption of Monsanto and the U.S. government. If Google Video has removed this documentary in acquiescence to the U.S. government or Monsanto, then that is testimony to the power and corruption behind the massive corporate movement to wage war on the environment and all living things in the pursuit of profit and power, the people be damned.
Siv O'Neall states:

The gospel according to Monsanto is that their patented GM seeds and their bovine growth hormone (BGH) will increase worldwide production of agricultural, dairy and meat products and Bt cotton to the extent that worldwide hunger and poverty will be eradicated.
The actual truth is rather the opposite. GMOs are creating serious damage all over the world and artificial BGH injection in cows cause numerous health problems, and even death.
Monsanto is not held back by any considerations of ethics and it hides the reality of its sordid machinations behind a wall of secrecy. Everything Monsanto does is exclusively with the intent of increasing its own profit - everything else be damned. (2008)

This is an information war, and it is highly possible that either Google Video is doing its part to help the corporate giant pull the wool over the public's eyes so it can poison the planet with impunity, or has been threatened. Fight back! Spread the word and try to find a source for this extremely important expose' about collusion between the U.S. government and Monsanto. It is too important to put off. Our planet is in imminent peril because of the machinations of this evil corporation.
If left to its own devices it (Monsanto) will most certainly destroy the livelihood of millions of farmers - a process begun a decade ago in India and certainly in many other countries as well. The planet's ecosystems will be seriously threatened by unnatural ways of changing agricultural patterns. The dangers of GMO cultivation to the environment come in many forms:

 · Switching from age-old biodiverse crops that can tolerate low-level amounts of water to industrial monocultures of crops such as GM soya, cotton, sugarcane, etc. that require large amounts of irrigation.
· Inundating cultivated lands with toxic herbicides, in particular the dangerous Monsanto product Roundup, to which the GMO seeds have been made biotechnically resistant. Any other growth should succumb to Roundup, were it not for the fact that weeds to a very large extent become Roundup resistant.
· Putting an end to biological farming and poisoning non GM cultures through pollenization from GM crops and accidental exposure to Roundup herbicide.
· Deforestation to make more land available for the culture of the GM seeds Monsanto sells at high prices to poor farmers. (O'Neall, 2008)

This issue is too important to put off. Please, try to find the video. People need to have this information. "The World According to Monsanto" is one of the most important videos I have ever seen. Help expose Monsanto!

Having crushed the planet's peasants and converted food into just another commodity for global manipulation, the Lord's of Capital have unleashed upon humanity the threat - no, certainty - of mass starvation. The criminal mega-enterprise is centered in the United States, the former "breadbasket of the planet" whose massive conversion to biofuels has caused staple crop prices to skyrocket beyond the reach of hundreds of millions of the world's poor. The death of millions translates into profits in the trillions for the Lords of Capital, killers on a mass scale whose only talents lie in "the production of overlapping calamities, each more lethal than the last."
"No amount of emergency aid is sufficient to make up for the wild price rises that have already occurred."

Fidel Castro called biofuels "genocide," and he was right. And there can be no question as to the identity of the perpetrators of this global genocide: the Lords of Capital that formulate the foreign and domestic policy of the United States. That policy calls for 20 million acres of corn from states like Iowa to be converted from food to fuel. As should have been expected, such a massive diversion almost immediately pushed up the price of all other basic foodstuffs - a global disaster made quick and easy by the fact that, over the past several decades, planetary food production has been taken over by agribusiness - the speculative human parasites that control how food is bought and sold, and to whom, and for what purpose. These Lords of Capital are killers on a mass scale.
"Hot" money has totally distorted the "marketplace" for life-sustaining goods, causing millions of the desperately poor in scores of countries to take to the streets. "In less than a year," writes the Guardian newspaper, in Britain, "the price of wheat has risen 130 per cent, soya by 87 per cent and rice by 74 per cent."
These are nothing less than crimes against humanity, and cannot help but destroy the lives of millions who are already at the very edge of the precipice.
"The Lords of Capital have imposed a triage of death by starvation on the planet."
The so-called "market" - which is actually a club of super-rich men who distort and destroy everything of value to humanity that they touch - will be the death of us all, and much quicker than through the effects of global warming, which is also greatly accelerated by the ghoulish, greedy rush to grow food for cars rather than people. In such a murderous environment -manipulated purely for the profits of the Lords of Capital - neither trees nor peasants stand a chance. The United Nations says it needs about half a billion dollars for the most critical cases of starvation, but no amount of emergency aid is sufficient to make up for the wild price rises that have already occurred - and which will put trillions in the pockets of the Lords of Capital.
Agribusiness wiped out small farmers in the U.S., and impoverished and pushed off the land untold millions of peasants, worldwide. Now the Lords of Capital have imposed a triage of death by starvation on the planet. The people who live on two dollars or less per day will have to die, and then, as prices rise, the three dollar people will follow.
The men who profit from such mass murder use terms like "structural adjustment" and "economic fundamentals" to attach a veneer of rationality to a chaotic system they have created on the fly for the sole purpose of mega-theft. In the end, the Lords of Capital have mastered only one art: the production of overlapping calamities, each more lethal than the last. Soon, if not already, the Haitian poor will have no cooking oil to mix with clay for their diet of dirt pies. The Lords of Capital will have turned them into dirt for another Haitian's consumption and demise.

I pulled into the church parking lot a little after 6:00 p.m., at more or less the last possible minute. The previous half hour or so I'd spent dawdling in my car outside a Goodwill department store off Route 410 in San Antonio, clinging to some inane sports talk show piping over my car radio — anything to hold off my plunge into Religion.
There was an old-fashioned white school bus in front of the church entrance, with a puddle of heavyset people milling around its swinging door. Some of these were carrying blankets and sleeping bags. My heart, already pounding, skipped a few extra beats. The church circulars had said nothing about bringing bedding. Why did I need bedding? What else had I missed?
"Excuse me," I said, walking up to an in-charge-looking man with a name tag who was standing near the front of the bus. "I see everyone has blankets. I didn't bring any. Is this going to be a problem?"
The man was about five feet one and had glassy eyes. He looked up at me and smiled queerly.
"Name?" he said.
"Collins," I said. "Matthew Collins."
He scanned his clipboard, found my name on the appropriate sheet of paper, and X-ed me out with a highlighter. "Don't worry, Matthew," he said, resting his hand on my shoulder. "A wonderful woman named Martha is going to take care of you at the ranch. You just tell her what you need when you get there."
I nodded, glancing at his hand, which was still on my shoulder. He waved me into the bus.
I had been attending the Cornerstone Church for weeks, but this was really my first day of school. I had joined Cornerstone — a megachurch in the Texas Hill Country — to get a look inside the evangelical mind-set that gave the country eight years of George W. Bush. The church's pastor, John Hagee, is one of the most influential evangelical preachers in the country — not because his ministry is so very large (although he claims up to 4.5 million viewers a week for his Sunday sermons) but because of his near-absolute conquest of a very trendy niche in the market: Christian Zionism.
The whole idea behind Christian Zionism is to align America with the nation of Israel so as to "hurry God up" in his efforts to bring about Armageddon. As Hagee tells it, only after Israel is involved in a final showdown involving a satanic army (in most interpretations, a force of Arabs led by Russians) will Christ reappear. On that happy day, Hagee and his True Believers will be whisked up to Heaven by God, while the rest of us nonbelievers are left behind on Earth to suck eggs and generally suffer various tortures.
So here I was, standing in the church parking lot, having responded to church advertisements hawking an "Encounter Weekend" — three solid days of sleep-away Christian fellowship that would teach me the "joy" of "knowing the truth" and "being set free." That had sounded harmless enough, but now that I was here and surrounded by all of these blanket-bearing people, I was nervous. When most Americans think of the Christian right, they think of scenes from television — great halls full of perfectly groomed people in pale suits and light-colored dresses, smiling and happy and full of the Holy Spirit, robotically singing hymns at the behest of some squeaky-clean pastor with a baritone voice and impossible hair. We don't get to see the utterly bat**** world they live in, when the cameras are turned off and their pastors are not afraid of saying the really dumb stuff, for fear of it turning up on CNN. In American evangelical Christianity, in other words, there's a ready-for-prime-time stage act — toned down and lip-synced to match a set of PG lyrics that won't scare the advertisers — and then there's the real party backstage, where the spiritual hair really gets let down. I was about to go backstage, to personally take part in the indoctrination process for a major Southern evangelical church. Waiting to board the bus for the Encounter Weekend, I had visions of some charismatic ranch-land Jesus, stoned on beer and the Caligula director's cut and too drunk late at night to chase after the minor children, hauling me into a barn for an in-the-hay shortcut to truth and freedom. Ridiculous, of course, but I really was afraid, mostly of my own ignorance and prejudices. I had never been to something like this before, and I didn't know how to act. I badly wanted to be invisible. Advertisement

The bus was nearly full, and mostly quiet. Here and there a few people sitting together or near each other huddled and chatted, but I could see right away that a great many people on the trip had come alone, like me. They were people of all sorts: younger white men in neat middle-class haircuts, a matronly Mexican woman quietly reading a romance novel, a few scattered weather-beaten black folk in secondhand clothing whom I immediately pegged as in-recovery addicts, a couple of ten-alarm soccer moms who would prove the loudest people on the bus by far, a few quiet older men of military bearing.
The one obvious conclusion anyone making a demographic study of the Cornerstone Church population would come to would be that it's a solidly middle-class crowd. These are folks who are comfortable eating off paper plates and drinking out of gallon jugs of Country Time iced tea over noisy dinners with their kids. They're people who grew up in houses with back yards and fences, people with families. This particular journey to God is not a pastime for the idle rich or the urban obnoxious.
I sat down next to a frankly obese Hispanic woman who was carrying what both looked and smelled like a paper bag full of cheeseburgers.
"Some weather we're having, with this rain," I said.
"Tell me about it!" she said, introducing herself as Maria. "It truly is an act of God that I even made it here today." She told a story about having to drive down from Austin in bad weather. God had helped her four or five steps along the way. "It just seems like God really wants me to come on this trip," she said. "Otherwise, I would never have made it."
"It l
A new wrinkle cream that promises fabulous results. But the question everyone's asking is "what's in that cream?" Barbara Blair says this new gel she's been using makes her face look a lot younger than the Retin-A and vitamin C creams she's been using. "It's really tightened my skin. Firmed it. The little lines are much better. The texture is very appreciably different." What Blair probably doesn't know is that a key ingredient in the cream is the foreskin of a circumcised baby. The skin that would otherwise be tossed away. It was first made into a product that helped burn victims heal. Now it's in this antiwrinkle gel, called TNS Recovery Complex. Betsy Rubenstone is the aesthetician in the plastic surgery department at the University of Pennsylvania and she swears by this stuff. She knows why the foreskin is used. "It's filled with everything we begin to lose as we age," Rubenstone says. "And that includes growth factors, amino acids, proteins, collage, elastin and holyuronic acid." Thomas Jefferson University Hospital dermatologist Paul Bujanauskas says while TNS might have merit, he would not prescribe it for his patients because no scientific research proving its value has been published in medical journals. The cost of one bottle of TNS is about $130. And that will last you about a month and a half. How does it smell? Well that's another downside. Just ask anybody who uses it. "It's disgusting.
Bottled water is often just tapwater anyway.

85% of plastic water bottles become garbage.

The bottling companies find it easier and more profitable to let you throw the water containers away and buy a new one each time.

About 2 million of them are thrown away every hour!

Most bottles sold are actually small sized bottles, increasing the wastage
------------------------------------------------------------------
I buy bottled water in big jugs that can't be returned so, I throw them into the blue box for recycling.
Since the Walkerton disaster our town seems to have increased chlorine and other chemicals into our tap water. I hate drinking it!! I can taste the chemicals!!! Other people must feel the same, because drinking bottled water has become a real fad. Everywhere in the cities one sees people walking around, carrying a bottle of water.
It is rumored that bottled water in most cases is nothing other than filtered tap water. Maybe installing a little filter on my kitchen faucet might do the trick, and I could save money as well as help the environment.
Does anyone of you have experience with a water filter?

The industry group for the widely used plastic compound bisphenol A, currently the subject of a safety assessment by Health Canada, bases its view that low exposures to the chemical are harmless on three studies it funded - research that critics contend contains serious flaws.

The American Chemistry Council, an Arlington, Va.-based lobby group, has submitted the studies to Health Canada for its assessment. But only one of them has been published in a peer-reviewed journal, the process that allows research to be vetted by independent experts.
...
There are approximately 160 non-industry-funded studies by academics and other investigators on low-dose BPA exposures, and about 90 per cent of them have detected harmful effects, says Frederick vom Saal, a University of Missouri researcher who is keeping a running tally on the scientific dispute over the chemical.

He has published a study on the council's rat experiment and, in an interview, said the animals were so insensitive to estrogenic hormones that they wouldn't have reacted even to birth control pills, limiting the value of any findings based on it.

I begin by noting that the CRTC has long acknowledged that Canadians enjoy limited competition for high-speed Internet services. In response, it has supported independent ISPs by requiring incumbents like Bell to provide wholesale broadband Internet service at regulated rates. While it is difficult to price-compete - the Bell wholesale pricing creates an effective minimum price - independent ISPs such as Chatham-based Teksavvy and Ottawa’s National Capital Freenet have carved a niche in the Canadian market through attention to customer service, innovative bundling approaches, targeted network investments, and community ownership.

Last week, this important piece of the Canadian Internet connectivity puzzle learned that its future viability has been put at risk due to Bell's plans to "throttle" its wholesale services. Last year, Bell began installing "deep packet inspection" capabilities into its network. The DPI capabilities - which allow ISPs to identify the type of content that runs on their networks - did not go unnoticed by the independent ISPs since DPI is also used to "throttle" Internet content by scaling back the amount of bandwidth allocated to particular applications.

While Bell employed these throttling technologies with their own Sympatico customers, some independent ISPs sought assurances that it would not be applied to the wholesale services. Sources advise that Bell responded positively that its plans were limited to its own customers, consistent with its 2003 assurance to the CRTC that it would only engage in limiting bandwidth for wholesale services "in cases of troubleshooting or to protect the network infrastructure from congestion resulting from malfunctioning or mis-configured equipment or malicious hacking."

Notwithstanding those commitments, earlier this month Internet chat boards began to buzz with rumours of throttling among independent ISPs. A Google Maps mashup was created, documenting instances of reduced bandwidth that stretched across the province. Late Friday, John Sweeney, Bell’s Senior Vice-President of Carrier Services, sent a letter to the independent ISPs acknowledging that it has implemented bandwidth management from 4:30 pm to 2:00 am for its wholesale customers. Sweeney admitted that peer-to-peer applications will not work as fast during this period, but argued that "a majority of end users will experience an increased level of satisfaction."

While much of the initial commentary has focused on the implications for consumer rights, that discussion misses the more important aspect of this story, namely that Bell’s plans undermine the Internet’s competitive landscape by raising three competition concerns.

The effect on ISP competition, particularly in Ontario and Quebec, points to the first competition issue. Simply put, wholesale level throttling lessens the ability for independent ISPs to differentiate their services and therefore compete in the marketplace. Indeed, critics argue that this is intentional since Bell's decision to throttle its own residential customers enabled the independent ISPs to attract dissatisfied subscribers and gobble up market share. By throttling everyone, Bell may be trying to recapture those lost customers.

The second competition concern is the effect on ISP services such as the secure virtual private networks used by companies and video streaming employed by many broadcasters. With DPI and throttling in place, Bell may soon be positioned to implement premium pricing for services that business currently takes for granted, thereby raising costs and cutting independent ISPs out of the picture.

The third competition concern brings a cultural dimension to the issue. The major ISPs claim that throttling is needed to ensure better quality of service to all customers, yet it also has a significant effect on the video marketplace. Cable and satellite companies have begun to sell new video on demand services to consumers, which compete directly with video distributed over the Internet. For example, last week the CBC used BitTorrent to distribute one of its programs, yet some subscribers reported that the episode took hours to download. The slow speeds were no accident. Rather, they were a direct result of ISPs limiting available bandwidth, something they do not do for their own video services.

These obvious conflicts point to the glaring need for action from Canada’s competition and broadcaster regulators. Recent regulatory attention to the issue in the United States has paved the way for commitments to treat content equally. Canadians deserve - and should demand - nothing less.

----------------------------------------------------------
CBC did another report on this so check that as well..

Thoughts:
"Canadians deserve and should demand--nothing less."
I know a man who is a Bell employee here..thank you for your help previously back when I was surprised to find my Internet connection was being throttled.
But I must post this..this is crazy* and is a complete monopolization.
Yes, Canadians have suffered Bell's monopoly for very long time now. Just when this was beginning to change because smaller businesses which offers so much better product and service, Bell steps in and now decides to take "control" of independent ISP providers by throttling them "forcefully" as well.
This is outrageous, is it not?
Bell must have felt the leaving customers and now decides to "bully" smaller competitors because they offered something what consumers "WANTED AND DEMANDED." This is clearly a violation of our consumer rights and thanks to Bell's desire to limit our want...and NEED [consumers & business alike.]

An ABCP primer

Globe and Mail Update
April 3, 2008 at 8:18 AM EDT

What is ABCP?

Asset-backed commercial paper is 30-day and 60-day notes that paid investors interest generated by bundles of mortgages, car loans, derivatives and other assets pooled in special vehicles called conduits or trusts.

Why did ABCP become popular with investors?
ABCP offered good returns at a time when central banks were slashing interest rates. The investment was also highly rated and sold by some of the world's biggest banks. Last year, ABCP accounted for 30 per cent of Canada's $360-billion short-term debt market.

Who holds frozen ABCP?
About 1,400 Canaccord Capital Inc. clients collectively hold $269-million of the frozen commercial paper in their accounts. There are also hundreds of other individual investors who bought the paper from other sellers, bringing the total to at least 1,800 holders. The rest is held by companies, Crown corporations, pension funds, institutional investors and banks.

Why is Canada's ABCP frozen?
The ABCP sector was swept up by the crisis in U.S. subprime mortgages in August. That's when it was revealed that an unknown amount of ABCP was tied to dodgy U.S. housing loans. Buyers disappeared and the market froze. To stop the trusts that issued the paper from going into default and being liquidated, a group of major financial players, led by the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, called for a standstill in the market to avoid a meltdown and seek a solution.

What are they waiting for?
Purdy Crawford and his committee have crafted a plan to exchange the short-term notes for ones that mature in as much as nine years. But a majority of investors must approve the plan when they vote on April 25. That is why Mr. Crawford is holding meetings with investors in major cities.

Will investors get their money back?
Under the restructuring plan, investors who hold the notes until they mature - up to nine years - will receive much if not all of their money back. Many investors say they can't wait that long, and the committee hopes an over-the-counter market will develop so investors can trade their shares soon after the plan is in place. However, investors who have to sell in the short term will almost certainly lose money.

What is the frozen paper's market value?
There have been no recent disclosed trades in the paper, so nobody is sure.
Notes that are backed by bad U.S. mortgages will be worth less than those backed by solid assets. An RBC Dominion Securities analyst recently said the overall market has lost about 40 per cent of its value. However, if the restructuring fails, many of the assets will be seized by creditors and sold at depressed prices, leaving little or nothing for investors who own the paper.

Determining exactly how much of their money investors in this paper will recoup is somewhat more complicated. That's because the restructuring plan for the market involves dividing it up into three types of new investments that will each have different values, because some will be riskier than others, and each investor will get a different mix of the new paper depending on what types of frozen paper they held.

Who's paying for the Purdy Crawford committee and its work?
Investors. It will cost between $80-million and $100-million to pay the lawyers, financial advisers, the court-appointed monitor and the rating agency.

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servl...tory/Business/
.....................................
People thought they were getting a secure investment. The proposal effectively has their money mature at par value in 10 years. One other idea floating around is everyone getting 60 cents on the dollar from a vulture fund. Pretty ugly situation for investors.

Since the Clinton administration made biotechnology “a strategic priority for U.S. government backing” (1), giant transnational agri-business concerns have aggressively taken over the global food chain by flooding it with Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) without regard for the consequences to the earth or its inhabitants. This takeover not only has the potential for global economic devastation, but threatens the earth’s population with far-reaching health concerns as well. One health concern that seems to coincide with the GMO revolution is Morgellons disease. What if the advent of Morgellons disease has something to do with the ingestion of GMO foods?

Morgellons Disease – What is it?

Very little can be found regarding this disease. Originally, sufferers were told that their problem was imaginary. This was of little comfort to the people who were suffering.

Morgellons Disease sufferers report strange, fiber-like material sticking out of sores or wounds that erupt on the skin. This is accompanied by painful, intense itching, that has been described as “an ever present sensation as if something is crawling under the skin.” (2)

On May 18, 2006, KGW, a local news channel reporting out of the Oregon area published this story:

Strange sickness: Mystery disease horror story (excerpt)

[Dr. Drottar] The disabled family practice doctor felt like bugs were crawling under her skin.

"If I fully tell people what has gone on with me medically, they think they’re in the twilight zone,” said Drottar.

She woke up with the feeling that fluid was flowing just below her skin. Often black or blue hair like fibers protruded from her skin, she said.

“I thought I had been exposed to asbestos. I thought I was having asbestos fibers come out of my skin. I was pulling long, thin, small hair-like fibers that were extremely sharp that could literally pierce through my finger nails,” Drottar said.

In addition to the feeling of bugs and the fibers, Drottar also suffered from severe depression, chronic fatigue and a weakened immune system. As a result, she had to give up her family practice, Drottar said. (3)

Morgellons and GMO – the Link

Little information has been revealed concerning the long-term health effects of GMO crops on humans or animals, and even less information can be had regarding research correlating Morgellons with GMO foods. This is suspicious right off the bat, because it would seem that there would be a natural curiosity regarding a link between Genetically Modified Organisms that people ingest regularly and inorganic fibers that protrude from a person’s skin. This would be right up a geneticist’s alley, and quite worthy of intensive research. So, why aren’t there a ton of published studies? Why is it so difficult finding anything related to this? Could it be that companies such as Monsanto have enough clout to effectively squash these stories? If they have enough clout to ruin countries by deceiving impoverished farmers into purchasing patented GMO seeds, and then take it a step further and force these poor people to purchase seeds year after year instead of harvesting their own, then they have enough clout to ask our more than willing corporate government to manipulate the press...again.

According to Mike Stagman, PhD,

“Genetic Engineering is a nightmare technology that has already caused MANY disease epidemics -- documented but unpublicized.” (4)

Well Monsanto, you let at least one study slip through. With the help of a couple of search engines, the following article by Whitley Strieber published on October 12, 2007, titled “Skin Disease May Be Linked to GM Food” was found, which concludes that the fibers taken from a Morgellons sufferer contain the same substance that is "used commercially to produce genetically-modified plants." Here is the article:

Skin Disease May Be Linked to GM Food
12-Oct-2007

Many people—and most physicians—have written off Morgellons disease as either a hoax or hypochondria. But now there is evidence that this mysterious disease may be REAL and related to GENETICALLY MODIFIED food!
The skin of Morgellons victims oozes mysterious strands that have been identified as cellulose (which cannot be manufactured by the human body), and people have the sensation of things crawling beneath their skin. The first known case of Morgellons occurred in 2001, when Mary Leitao created a web site describing the disease, which had infected her young son. She named it Morgellons after a 17th century medical study in France that described the same symptoms.
In the Sept. 15-21 issue of New Scientist magazine, Daniel Elkan describes a patient he calls "Steve Jackson," who "for years" has "been finding tiny blue, red and black fibers growing in intensely itchy lesions on his skin." He quotes Jackson as saying, "The fibers are like pliable plastic and can be several millimeters long. Under the skin, some are folded in a zigzag pattern. These can be as fine as spider silk, yet strong enough to distend the skin when you pull them, as if you were pulling on a hair."
Doctors say that this type of disease could only be caused by a parasite, but anti-parasitic medications do not help. Psychologists insist that this is a new version of the well-known syndrome known as "delusional parasitosis." While this is a "real" disease, it is not a physically-caused one.
But now there is physical evidence that Morgellons is NOT just psychological. When pharmacologist Randy Wymore offered to study some of these fibers if people sent them to him, he discovered that "fibers from different people looked remarkably similar to each other and yet seem to match no common environmental fibers."
When they took them to a police forensic team, they said they were not from clothing, carpets or bedding. They have no idea what they are.
Researcher Ahmed Kilani says he was able to break down two fiber samples and extract their DNA. He found that they belonged to a fungus.
An even more provocative finding is that biochemist Vitaly Citovsky discovered that the fibers contain a substance called "Agrobacterium," which, according to New Scientist, is "used commercially to produce genetically-modified plants." Could GM plants be "causing a new human disease?" (5)
GMO – Not on My Watch!

The giant transnational corporations behind the GMO revolution are hitting us in our most vulnerable spot – our bellies. Most people have been brought up with an innate trust that what they purchase from the stores is safe to eat. This is no longer true, since most processed foods contain genetically engineered ingredients that can have disastrous effects on both animal and human health. What you purchase from the corner store might just change your DNA and create such frightening symptoms that the general public simply does not believe it. What is worse is that when you go to the doctor to get help, he/she tells you what you are experiencing is all in your head. This is rubbish! It is up to people who care to make the correlations between what we eat and what happens to our bodies. Remember the old saying – “you are what you eat?” Well, this author believes it is true.
aspartame is a poison in many of our daily foods. there is a great global awareness of it and its dangerous side affects, but it is still permitted in your food. NZer Abby Cormack is a sufferer of aspartame poisoning, but the NZFSA refuse to recognise her symptoms. Abby is taking a trip to USA to take part in a potentially dangerous experiment to prove to the world that aspartame is bad for us. SHE needs your support. and WE need to lobby to BAN aspartame in our country! DON'T EAT IT!

Some of Baxter International's recalled blood thinner heparin contained large amounts of a contaminant that might explain hundreds of serious side effects. And the government said Wednesday it's investigating whether what appears to be a fake ingredient got there by accident or by fraud.

The Food and Drug Administration said 19 deaths from allergic-type reactions are now associated with the recalled drug, up from four.

Baxter insisted the contaminant further points suspicion at ingredient suppliers in China, which are under increasing scrutiny after a wave of recalls involving food, drug and toy imports.
